“You’d have to have moderators. A time limit—adrinklimit,” Stella said.
“Everyone calm down. We’re just brainstorming,” Avril said.
My phone buzzed as she picked up the next suggestion paper from the pile. Avril said something about themed cocktails, and Zayn began naming off every idea for drinks that he had, although my attention drew to the message on my screen.
I found it, Chloe said.
I picked up my phone and pulled it into my lap, crossing my ankle over my knee.Found what?I asked.
The sexiest pink lingerie that there is.
I stirred slightly in my seat. You can’t claim that unless you share it, I said. You have to have multiple opinions to declare something the sexiest ever.
Are you asking for a picture?
If you’re willing to share.
Okay, but I hope you’re at home.
Why?
Because I don’t think you’ll be able to keep it in your pants once you see this.
I’ll be the judge of that.
A picture came through then, and I nearly dropped my phone. I had to clamp my lips together to keep from grinning outright. Still, as everyone was arguing about drink names around me, I doubted they noticed my silence.
Chloe was wearing a pink T-rex onesie with a tail, a ridged spine down the back, and a hood with eyes and teeth. I laughed, but gods dammit, she was even sexy in that thing. It hugged her shape, the pink color bringing out the pink of her lips, standing stark against her dark hair while accentuating her skin. She was laughing, and I was curious if Ezzie had said something as she was taking the photo of her.
I know you’re joking, but this is sexy as fuck.
You like it?
I fucking love it.
You’re so weird
This picture is going on my wall with the other one, I said.
You have a picture of me on your wall?
It wasn’t on my wall. But I had printed out the picture of her in the snow and put it on the dresser in my bedroom. I looked at it nearly every day.
Does that creep you out?
Only if you have it in any frame other than a cheesy one with big red and pink hearts.
I smiled. What else would I have it in?
Something aesthetically boring, she replied.
Never, I said.
“Earth to Gavin,” Avril said, snapping her fingers expectantly.
I finally looked up, noticing the silence, and realized everyone’s eyes were on me. Zayn was grinning widely.
“Only one thing can cause that kind of distraction,” he teased. “It’s that girl, isn’t it?”
