But that first night, after Harlow had gone to bed and we’d all consumed a decent amount of alcohol, one thing led to another, and I found myself waking up sandwiched between the two men. I thought maybe I was a hot fling, something for them to amuse themselves with while they waited for Jacinta.

I’d had every intention of finding my own place, but a couple of nights turned into weeks, and before I knew it, I’d become part of a throuple. And I’m fucking thrilled. There’s so much more to these two men than what people see on the outside. People see Alex as shallow and not very bright, but he actually fusses over us like a mother hen, making sure both Shane and I have everything we need mentally, emotionally, and physically. He’s the first one to ask us how our days were or to wrap his arms around us if he thinks we need a hug.

And Shane? That saying about still waters running deep was made for him. He’s intelligent and kind and gentle. No, he’s not the most demonstrative of men, but he shows he cares with small gestures and gentle touches. And in the bedroom, well, the teddy bear becomes a grizzly, and if he asked me to call him Daddy, I’d gladly do it.

I wasn’t sure whether they’d ever be happy with just me or if they’d keep that dream of Jacinta joining them. Honestly, I was starting to think that maybe the three of us could simply find that happiness in each other, but then I’d gone to Prague with the Summers family.

I finally understood their obsession, and I had fallen in love. Jacinta is nothing like she’s portrayed in the media. She has depth, and she’s kind, loving, and protective of her family, with a wicked sense of adventure and humor. I’d never been in love before, though I’m pretty sure now that what I have with Shane and Alex is love too. By the time we returned to California, I would have happily laid my life down for her.

We had a few moments while we were away, but she made it clear that her life was complicated, so those stolen moments were all we had.

When she was kidnapped, I wanted to storm the Summers’ place and demand that they let us be involved. Alex had to literally sit on me while Shane chimed in as the voice of reason. Once they were found and Jaxon was in the hospital, there was nothing that could have stopped me from going to her.

But when we arrived, she was like a robot. Sure, she said all the right things, but the light in her eyes was gone. The reality of almost losing her twin and Harlow had sucked the life out of her, and I could tell she blamed herself—survivor’s guilt from having gotten away. But if she hadn’t, they might never have found the other two.

As we drove away from the hospital that day, the car was quiet, all of us lost in our thoughts until Alex broke the silence.

“One month,” he announced suddenly.

“Huh?”

“She gets one month to recover, then we make our intentions clear. I am not going to let that woman get away, and I think if we gave her the chance, she would.”

Both Shane and I were in agreement, and it was a done thing. Our throuple was going to become a quadruple.

“Dinner tomorrow has to be perfect. I’m going to cook.” Alex pulls out his phone and starts to google recipes. “What do you think she likes?”

“Chicken tenders and fries,” I say absently, earning a glare.

“Are you telling me sophisticated heiress Jacinta Summers loves kid food?”

I shrug. “Yeah, and mac and cheese or tomato soup and grilled cheese. She likes the food that reminds her of all the good times growing up in her family. If you made her shepherd’s pie or lasagna, she’d think it was the best thing ever.”

“You really got to know her while you were away,” Shane muses, and I nod.

“Yeah, we spent almost every day together. We didn’t want to get in the way of Harlow and the guys. They were dealing with a lot, so we kept each other busy. She’s so much fun. I’ve missed her, and I’m worried we’ll never get back there again.”

“Full court press,” Alex mutters.

Shane chuckles. “Sports terms now?”

“That woman isnotgetting away from us. I want her locked down and moving into the spare bedroom at our place within the next couple of months.”

Shane whistles. “Jacinta better watch out! Alex is on a mission.”

Alex flips him off, and I laugh at their antics.

“You may be out of luck. She loves her family home, and I have a feeling you’re going to need a crowbar to get her out of it.”

“Well, we can move there or something. I’m not sure, but if we can knock her up, we can tie her to one of us permanently.”

“What the fuck?” Shane shouts and swerves slightly on the road before getting control of the car again. “Are you serious? Don’t you think that’s a little like… entrapment, especially with what happened with Veronica?”

“As a heart attack. I want that woman, and I want the two of you, and if one of us has to get her pregnant to do that, I am all for it. I plan to tell her all about it. I’m not going to hide it, so I am nothing like that crazy bitch.”

“Slow your role, baby daddy. Let’s try other things first before we go to the ‘knock up a woman’ plan,” Shane cautions Alex, but I start to think about how I would feel.

Do I want kids? Yes, absolutely. Can I see myself having them with Jacinta? No question about it. My cock gets hard just thinking about it, then my mind starts imagining the three of us working toward that specific goal, and it throbs inside my pants. “I’m in.”
