When they finally got the keycard and were able to get to the room, it was several minutes in an elevator to get to the right floor. Page was shocked when Randall grabbed her up and kissed her while they rode upward. She was shaking when he lether go. Someone else was about to get on, and Page was sure that they were seen. She didn’t care, not really, but it was a bit embarrassing.

Randall slammed the door behind them, and he started to take his shirt off. Page’s eyes were on his hard chest that her hands were dying to touch. He looked really good. Her eyes feasted on him and when Randall went to her, she was able to put her hands around his neck and pull her body in against his chest.

“You know, it’s been too long since I’ve seen your chest, Randall. After you let me touch you that one time, you haven’t since.”

Randall groaned when her hands ran up and down his chest. It was clear that he liked what she did, but also clear that it was hard for him to take it all in. Page liked the way he moved underneath her touch. His skin was taut, and his muscles rippled as they touched. Then, his mouth was on her neck and Page lost her senses. She was no longer the one that was initiating the touching. It was a shame too, because it was obviously for the goals that she had. She wanted him to make her scream and when he started to take her clothes off, the dress falling down to the ground, Page knew that she had lost. Whatever came next, Page wasn’t going to be able to deny him. Whatever he wanted, whatever he commanded, she would do it. Page was smitten in a way that scared her. She had never been so into someone before. Even back in the day when they were together, she had felt like she would survive without him. Now, she knew that she couldn’t or that she didn’t want to. Randall meant so much to her, maybe too much.

He turned her around in his arms, letting his tongue and teeth play with her shoulders and where her neck bent to offer herself to him. Randall took every inch of her flesh and seemedto demand more out of her. It was more than she was ready to deal with. She tried her best to focus on anything else, but there was a part of her that didn’t want to give it up. She thought she had some kind of control, but Randall moving her with ease in his hands like she had no choice, made her realize how strong he was. Page melted against him, waiting for the next touch. All she was focused on was the feeling that he had made inside of her.

Page felt a hard length pressing between her legs and it was then that she realized her panties were gone. It was also the time that she figured out that Randall was nude on the bottom. She tried not to focus too much on the feeling of him behind her, but she couldn’t help it. She bent herself a little bit, so that his hard head was pushing against her core. It was right where she needed it and before too long, she was shifting again to let him push inside of her. They had only been standing there one minute and now he was inside of her, and the bed was still made. Page bent over and then she was pushed to one of the side tables. She braced herself against the wood and tried to keep it together. Her mouth was yelling out how good he felt, and Page was sure that someone was going to come and stop them. She tried to keep her noise to herself, but Randall was moving in and out so quickly. She couldn’t stop it, no matter how badly she wanted to.

“Yes, please, faster!”

Page didn’t even know why she said it. He was already going at a pace that she could barely handle. When he started to go faster, listening to her, Page screamed out in response. It was more than she could handle, and she came repeatedly. It was like seeing stars behind her eyes, and Page was sure that she wasn’t going to be able to handle it much longer. She was shaking and when he pushed her to the bed, face first into the mattress, Page was able to call out as loud as she wanted. It was more than she could handle then and before too long, Page was begging for hisseed. Randall resisted, but when she asked him to fill her with more kids, he couldn’t help it. He filled her full not too long after the words passed her lips.

Page was worn out and when he pulled out and laid beside her, she was able to believe for once that it was exactly how things were supposed to be. “What?”

Page sighed. “Nothing, I have just been waiting a long time for that.”

Randall agreed, “Me too.”

He held her for the longest time. They had to get back before too long, but not before Page rode him and brought them both to pleasure a few more times. When they got back to their house, they were ravenous and started eating cold leftovers from the fridge. By the time they got to bed, Page declared that it was their best date yet. She told him that she couldn’t wait until they could do it again.

Randall let it be known that he was always ready for the challenge. Page liked the sound of it, and she slept better than she had in months. When she woke up later alone, Page didn’t think anything of it. She didn’t realize that it was going to change everything, again.

Chapter 27

Randall

Randall was about to drift off to sleep, Page in his arms, when he heard something downstairs. Randall didn't want to get out of his place. Next to her in the bed was too comfortable and he wouldn't have, if he didn't think he had to. But he did. It was too late for somebody to be messing around outside. He looked over at Page who was already fast asleep and extricated his limbs from her.

He was outside before he picked up the familiar scent. It wasn't just the scent of a shifter, but the scent of Ethan, his brother. If he was there, Randall knew what that meant. He should have taken care of it before, but Randall hadn't wanted to leave her side for any reason. Now, Ethan at his doorstep, he wished that he would have. He never wanted Ethan around Page again. She didn't talk much about her time with him, but Randall understood that she truly despised him and wanted nothing to do with him. If a person felt that way about somebody, there was obviously a reason.

“What are you doing here, Ethan?”

Ethan smiled. “Did you really think that I was just going to let it go? Your brother saved you once, I don't see him here this time. You don't get to keep the girl.”

Randall chuckled. “Page isn't a girl. She's a woman and she's made her decision. She doesn't want you. You can get mad all you want to, but you can't have her because she doesn't want you.”

Ethan scoffed, “You really don't know much, do you? I do not have to be wanted for us to be together. Her father has already given her to me. You just came in and messed things up. It will all be fixed in no time. I wasn’t raised the same way, so I don’t have to follow the same rules.”

Randall hated the idea of that. He knew that her father had likely promised her off whether she liked it or not. The same thing had been done to his sister, or was attempted. Just because Allie had gone another route and found her own love, didn't mean that there were no expectations for her to marry someone else. Randall knew that it was a possibility, and he never wanted to think about her being with anyone else. The problem was, there was nothing he could do about it. They were again going to fight, but this time Randall knew that everything was on the line.

“Not here, not where my family sleeps three feet away.”

“Where would you like to do it then? I don't know if I believe that you will actually show up. You've already lost to me once before. If you were smart, you probably wouldn't show up.” Ethan made this huge grin run across his face. “Though you aren’t very smart, are you?”

Randall agreed, “That’s why I’ll show up.”

Ethan agreed that he knew he would toe the line against him. It was the whole reason that he had come then and not in the middle of the day.

He wanted to meet the next day in a designated spot and all Randall could do was agree. One day didn’t seem like enoughtime to prepare, but Randall knew that this time he wouldn’t lose. He simply couldn’t.

Randall went back inside and tried to lay down next to Page to sleep, but it was impossible. Again, Randall felt like he could not keep her safe. It was the only thing that mattered, and failure would mean he would lose everything. He laid there all night, trying desperately to get a moment's rest but there was no point. Nothing he did was going to make it better. Randall was sure that everything was happening for a reason, he just didn't know what that reason was yet. He was going to try and figure it out though, as quickly as he possibly could.

The next morning, Randall stayed in bed a little bit longer and held Page until they both had to get up. The kids were up, and they did not take too kindly to being ignored. Randall cuddled them all just a little bit longer and when he got a little teary eyed, Page wanted to know what was wrong. He wanted to tell her, but at the same time he was embarrassed. How could he explain such a thing? It would be hard for her to understand why he had to fight Ethan. She would, of course, want him to not do it. If he had a choice, would he choose not to? Randall wasn't honestly sure one way or another. He did know that it had to be done. He couldn't run from it any longer. At the same time though, he wanted to make sure that nothing happened to Page. After the two of them had breakfast and the kids were put down for their first nap, Randall went to go see his brother. Ben was known to put his nose in things where it didn't belong, so if something did happen to Randall, he was assured that his brother would keep his family together.
