After that initial moment, Allie started to realize what she was doing, and she immediately pulled him into her room. He wasn't supposed to be there. If somebody found out he was there, there would be hell to pay. Allie thought about what her new husband would do. It wouldn't be because he was jealous or because he cared. It would be simply because he didn't want to look bad. Allie had never met somebody who was so worried about what everybody else said. She figured that it was because of the secrets that his court. She didn't care, but she knew that many would.

Her body was immediately back to Justice and she asked him again what he was doing there. He gave her an almost hurt look. “Aren't you happy to see me?”

“Of course I am, but I still don't understand what's going on. What are you doing here? Did my brother send you?”

Justice agreed and said that he would rather be there than anywhere else. Allie believed him, she just couldn't believe how good he looked. She couldn't stop the smile that crossed her face. She felt herself getting emotional and she had to fight back tears. “You really don't know how good it is to see you. Your brother said that he got a message from you. Did you send something?”

“Yeah, I don't know how the message got to him. I sent it almost a month ago. I was afraid that you guys weren’t ever going to come,” Allie repeated herself. She couldn't get over the fact that Justice was there. She didn't even realize the trouble that would come if he was found out. All she was worried about was how shocked she was that he was there. She didn't know what else to say but that it was so good to see him. He chuckled and said that she had already said it, but Allie was convinced that it was worth mentioning again. She desperately needed Justice.

“Please tell me that you're getting me out of here?” Allie said in a rush. She didn't want to mince words. She didn't want to be there a second longer than she had to. Allie just wanted to get the hell out of there and never look back. That was all she could think about, all she could focus on.

“Get your things and we will go,” Justice said without a moment of hesitation. He was ready to get her out of there and Allie couldn't have been more thrilled. She looked around for a little bit and told him that she had nothing that she wanted to take with her.

“All of this nice stuff and you don't want to take it with you?”

Allie grimaced and shook her head. The last thing she ever wanted to do was take anything with her. She wanted to forget about all that had happened there with Bishop. She wanted to erase that part of her life, like it never happened. Allie was ready to move on, even if it seemed impossible.

They left about as quickly as he had showed up. Allie didn't know what the consequences would be, but in that moment they were worth it. Allie was ready to get out of there. She was still married to Bishop, but that didn't mean that she had to stay with him. Allie was ready to be happy, and she knew that Justice was the man to make her happy.

Chapter 21

Justice

It had not been as easy to find Allie as he originally thought. Apparently, she was not just the owner of one huge mansion, but her husband owned two, and they were currently at his winter castle. If Justice hadn’t been intimidated by the man's money and station before, he certainly was when he had found out more about him. It hadn't helped, he had almost second guessed it all because of it and went away. He hadn't though, thankfully. If he had believed everything and if he wouldn't have seen it all for himself, Justice might have thought that she was happy there. Most women would be happy there with all the assets that Bishop had. The reason that he felt something for her over everyone else was rather simple as far as Justice was concerned.

When they’d kissed, Justice was 100% sure that he had done everything that he was supposed to do. How else would he feel this way and it not be right?

When he was asked if he was supposed to be taking her away, that was the next thing on his mind. He wanted to get Allie out of there and as far away from there as possible. Then they could find out what was really going on and how it all had to be taken care of. Justice had no idea who Bishop was besides what he had heard. There were rumors, but he didn't trust rumors or think that he was that lucky to have that part of the rumors be true. Justice would have loved it to be though.

Allie was quiet and he looked over at her and asked her if she was alright. She said that she was, but Justice could see that she was still dealing with a lot. That was easy to understand, considering. Considering what though? Justice had no idea what had happened to her, so he was treading water desperately trying to figure it out without offending her. The truth was that Justice had no idea, and he was in a very awkward situation where he had no idea how he was supposed to act. It had been a long time.

The two shifted into their true form and they were quickly running. Justice had thought of many ways of getting in there after he found her and the one that he had settled on was to come in quiet and to leave out just as quietly. It worked so much better than he thought it would.

They ran until they both were tired. They stopped a few towns over, and Allie said that she needed a break. She looked tired. She was pregnant, carrying his babies and that realization really pulled him together. He stood taller, looking at her with concern and love. He would always look at her with love.

When they got into the city, it wasn't very big, but it had a hotel, and they got a room for the night. He figured that they would get a car in the morning and then they could be off. He really should have taken her and then gotten out of the area. That obviously would have made more sense, but Justice couldn't be bothered to think that way. Ever since he had kissed her and had her pressed up against him in a hug, his mind and body had only been thinking of one thing.

Once the door shut, and the lock was engaged, he turned to her and finally really looked at her, asking her how everything had gone. “Your brother didn't know what was going on, but he said that you needed to come home.”

Allie didn't offer any information on that front. Instead, she just kind of shrugged her shoulders and said that it wasn’t something that she really wanted to talk about. Naturally, Justice understood that. He had seen enough and done enough to know what that meant.

“Yeah, he was right, I wanted to come home.”

Justice waited for more answers. He wanted to know what had happened. Why had she gotten married in the first place and why was she now trying to run away from him? None of it made any sense, and Justice was getting irritated because he didn't know what he was supposed to do. He wanted to kiss her, take her on the bed and ravish her, but was that what she wanted? She had seemed surprised to see him so was he supposed to be there? Justice never felt so out of place before. He didn't know if he was coming or going or how he was supposed to act.

He said something about going to take a shower. It wasn't what he wanted to talk about or do obviously, but it was the only thing that he could do in the moment, because he had no idea what was going on between them. Why was it so damn confusing?

“Where are you going?” Allie asked in a small voice behind Justice. It hit him like a bullet because she sounded like she was worried that he was going to leave her, and she was afraid to be alone. He talked gently to her, telling Allie that he was just going to take a shower and that he never wanted to leave her side again.

“I will be out in a minute. You have nothing to worry about.” Justice wasn’t sure if she was in fact worried, but it felt like it. She was vibing weird and Justice didn’t know what to think.

“Can I come with you?”

Justice wasn’t sure why she wanted to go with him. Naturally, his body responded, and he wanted to ravish her where she stood. She was glowing and looked damn good carrying his children, but he knew he had to hold it in. She was different and he didn’t want to push or anything. He wasn’t sure how to act still.

“Um, sure.” Justice had no idea what he was agreeing to, but it didn’t feel like it was just a shower. Allie had a look in her eyes that he hadn’t seen in a while. He thought that he was just seeing what he wanted to see. That was how Justice saw it.

He was nervous as they walked into the small bathroom of the hotel. There wasn’t much room to move around and when he started to get undressed, she was so close to him. His need started to grow figuratively and literally, trying to stretch out to Allie. He didn’t want to do that, tried not to embarrass himself, but it was harder not to than he thought it was going to be.
