She looks into my eyes. “I need you too.”

With a groan, I rest my forehead against hers. “I don’t know if I’ll be able to make it to that second movie without touching you.”

She laughs but is quiet.

“You okay?” I ask her.

Bree wanted to stay home with the kids, and now that they’ll be going back to school, she’s planning to go back to work a few days a week. I have tried not to pressure her. I wanted it to be her decision, but we definitely miss her at the office.

She shrugs, and I get worried.

“You know, if you don’t want to go back to work?—”

She shakes her head. “It’s not that.”

I put my hand on her chin and tilt her head so she has to look at me. “What is it then?”

She shrugs. “Are you happy, Lo? I mean, with me?”

Stunned, I just stare at her. “Am I happy with you?”

She nods. “Yeah, I mean we said three kids, but we never dreamed we’d have triplets. Our house, our lives, it’s like… I dunno, constant chaos.”

I laugh and then realize she’s serious. “Sweetie, I don’t think you get it. I grew up with five brothers and one sister. That was chaos and craziness, but I wouldn’t have changed a second of it. This is exactly what I wanted. I’d choose you and our kids a thousand times.”

She smiles at me as if a weight has been lifted off her shoulders. She must have really been worried about this. I need to up my game. I never want her to feel like I don’t want this life.

I pull her hair back off her shoulders and kiss her neck. “What about you? Are you happy?”

She nods and tilts her head so I can have better access to her neck. “Yeah, I’m happy. Happy with you, the kids. I mean, I would have liked to have kept my body but?—”

I cut her off. “Your body is perfect.”

She blurts out a laugh. “Logan, it’s fine. I wasn’t fishing for compliments. I had triplets. I know I don’t look like I used to?—”

I shake my head sternly. “Oh no, don’t do that. Bree, baby, this body kept our babies safe until they were ready to be born, and then this body nourished them. This body is strength, love, and sacrifice. It’s perfect… you’re perfect.”

I grip her ass and pull her to me. Instantly, she lifts her legs and wraps them around my waist. She wraps herself around me and rests her head on my shoulder. “Yeah, that second movie was a good idea, Lo.”

I chuckle. “Yeah, now I have to figure out how to get out of this pool without three little sets of eyes seeing me.”

She slides her body along mine, and my cock twitches in my shorts. “You’re not helping matters,” I tell her.

She doesn’t stop, though. “I know… I just need…”

She doesn’t finish, but I know what she needs. I look over her head, and Britney is coming out the door. “Okay, we got it figured out. I’m picking the food, and I pick pizza. Braxton is picking the first movie, and Bridget is picking the second movie.”

My voice is calmer than I feel. “Great job, honey. Have you three showered?”

She shakes her head. “No, Dad, we were figuring out who was doing what.”

I nod. “Okay, good thinking. Now that it’s all planned out, you get in Mom and Dad’s shower, Bridget gets in the hallway shower, and tell Braxton to get in the downstairs shower. We’ll be inside in fifteen minutes, and then we’ll get the night started.”

She disappears into the house, and instantly, I have my hand in the bottoms of my wife’s bathing suit.

She jerks. “Logan… we can’t…”

I chuckle. “Baby, you’re so fuckin’ close already… let me just take the edge off.”
