Sophie felt a spasm of shyness as she lay on his bed, her panties hooked over one hip and halfway down.Am I too thin? Too hairy? Is it normal to be this wet? Oh, gosh. Vampires. Blood! Virgins can bleed!

“You are gorgeous. Look gorgeous. Taste gorgeous.” Jesse bent down, his lips latching onto the skin of her slightly concave torso. “Smell gorgeous.”

Sophie gasped as his eyes flickered red, but soon she didn’t see them anymore.

Her eyes were closed because Jesse was hungry. Hungry for her, thirsty for her, and her juice was quenching him.

His tongue was a soft tap and stroke, against her thighs, her outer lips, hands caressing her back and belly in a slow massage until he found her clenched hands. “Don’t be nervous. I would never do things that hurt you.”

“I’m not nervous because of you,” Sophie replied in a harsh pant.

He didn’t press her and that was good. She was nervous because he was down in place no one had ever gone, lips busy with the most intimate embrace. She was nervous because it was new.

But she was relaxed because it was new withhim. Her hands tightened on his as he resumed his attentions, licking and nuzzling deeper until his mouth was sucking on her clit, then her protruding labia that spread out like an orchid’s petals under his touch. He made a trinity, clit, left, right, clit, left, right, first with licks, then with sucks, and back again, until he stole back his hands and gripped her thighs, sliding his tongue into her with a ragged cry.

“Ohh. Ohh, shit, oh,shit, Jesse!” She didn’t know this feeling, this burning, wriggling feeling that made her feel like embers were on her skin in a good way. She screamed out softly with each breath, hands in his hair as he fucked her with his tongue, and then with his finger. It was overwhelming. Too much. She pushed him off but kept a hold of his shoulder as she shook. It wasn’t an orgasm, but it was painfully close— and also just a little bit painful.

“I’m sorry. Was I too hard?” Jesse freed himself to wrap her in his arms, concern on his face. “I thought I could make you cum if I did it right.”

“You pretty much did,” she puffed. She was certain he would have accomplished it if she hadn’t needed a break.

It was his turn, anyway. “I want to try,” Sophie pushed him onto his back without further explanation.

She straddled his calves as he watched with awestruck eyes, tucking her hair behind her ears with an intense stare. Her eyes seemed to snare him, freezing him in place as she settled her lips against the shaft with a light kiss. A flick of the tip of her tongue, finding him tasting of salt and sweetness, tasting like he smelled, a masculine, clean scent. Oddly delectable. “Mmm.”

“Oh, yeah,” he moaned back, sounding a little dazed.

“Am I doing this right?”

“Am I supposed to feel like I died and went to heaven?”

“You’d be the expert on that,” she laughed and stared down the treat in front of her, hand sliding over him. Her mouth followed, engulfing him.

His guttural groan was raw and primal, her eager pulls making his sculpted body arch off the bed ever so slightly. Aside from this act of intimacy that she’d never dreamed would be for someone like her, she loved lavishing attention on him. She loved making him lose control, gasp her name. She loved him.

“I love you.” Sophie sat up, wet lips swollen and dark eyes ablaze with passion.

“I love you. I thought I lost you. I couldn’t believe when I saw—”

“—Someone like me,” she traced the blue-black shadow of stubble on his jaw. “You wouldn’t have talked to me if you hadn’t thought I was a v-vampire.” The sentence felt funny in her mouth, but the truth was there nonetheless.

“And you wouldn’t have talked to me unless you thought I’d get it. What it’s like to be different, to look different. I’ve had so long to get used to the stares and whispers.” His fingertips ran over her cheek, down the swan-like curve of her neck to breast, his eyes admiring. “Soon, you’ll hear other whispers, Sophie. ‘That man is so in love with her.’ That’s what everyone will say when they see us together.”

It was a beautiful sentiment, but it was on the tip of her tongue to tell him not to exaggerate, that he didn’t need to buy her love with pretty words.

Sophie was glad he sealed her doubting lips with a kiss instead. As he slowly moved on top of her, hips sliding between her thighs, she realized it was true. He’d been waiting decades for a chance to fall in love. She’d been waiting her whole life to feel that she could be loved. Torn out of dark fairytales, big cities, and small towns, they’d both waited a lifetime- and weren’t all lives cut to different lengths? “You found me,” she gasped as she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him into her aching center.

“I was looking for you for so long, and I didn’t even know it.”

SHE SHIFTED AND THEworld changed, at least in her head. She went from silence and cold to heat and life. The girl who was going to die a virgin was making love to someone who had thought the same thing. Sophie didn’t expect it to last long.

She didn’t know about vampire stamina.

“Is this a thing?” she asked, eyes closed, feeling him pound and thrust without stopping, each move pushing her into a hot spiral of pleasure. “A vampire thing?”

“What?” he asked, lifting his lips briefly from her neck.

“Stamina. This seems... like a lot.”
