up, a bit overconfident now that Frankie had a hold of Snod. “Something that you definitely did on
purpose!”
“I was following orders!” Snod snarled, trying to reach Lorenzo over Frankie’s shoulder. “Obviously,
I failed!”
“Both of you calm down!” Frankie pleaded.
“And you! Vile betrayer!” Snod spat, still struggling to get out of Frankie’s tight grip. He might as
well have been trying to get a concrete wall to budge and he caught himself starting to pant. “How
could you say those things about the Order?”
“You mean the crazy group of people who are dedicated to killing my kind?” Frankie scoffed bitterly.
“Forgive me if I didn’t paint you in a very flattering light!”
“Says the unholy bloodsucking fiend!” Snod fumed, kicking his feet like a child, completely helpless
in Frankie’s grasp. He hated feeling so weak and Frankie’s powerful hold was soon having other
unexpected consequences.
“Oh, you see that right there?” Frankie snorted dryly. “The name calling? Real helpful! Very mature!”
Snod wanted to bite back with another insult, but he couldn’t think while his cock was pressing so
insistently into Frankie’s chest. He swallowed back a groan, his hands awkwardly dropping to
Frankie’s broad shoulders, groping the firm muscle he found there. He was angry, hard, and there was
something utterly thrilling to be helpless in the embrace of an immortal.
Frankie was feeling it, too. It was obvious by the hungry way he gazed up at Snod, his hold never
faltering, and Snod could sense his raw, hot desire through the bond. He didn’t know which one of
them thought about it first, but all he could picture now was Frankie’s firm hand cracking over his
backside.
“Frankie, care to explain to me why you have a vampire hunter staying with you?” Lorenzo asked,
worrying his hands together and retreating several steps away. “Seems like that might be a bad idea
and all, seeing as how you’re a vampire, and he tried to kill you! You know, just a thought!”
“I’m helping rehabilitate him,” Frankie explained urgently, blinking rapidly as the heated moment
faded into the background. “He’s not a hunter anymore.”
“How do you know that?” Lorenzo hissed. “What if this is like a super secret double agent deal? Did
you ever think about that? Maybe he’s just pretending not to be a hunter, and he’s secretly reporting all
of your vampire secrets back to headquarters and waiting to kill you! This reeks of bad vibes, man!”
