advantage of you—”

“I like it,” Snod insisted passionately, the very thought of Frankie’s hands on him making his body

heat up. “I like when you tell me what to do, I like it when you...” he swallowed awkwardly, blushing

as the next words came out as a whisper, “spank me.”

“You literally just had a nightmare about this last night!” Frankie countered irritably.

“That’s different,” Snod argued, shaking his head. He desperately wanted to make Frankie understand,

struggling to explain himself as he said, “When I was in the Order, the punishments were part of

making me into the person they wanted to be. When you do it, it’s helping me become the person that...

the person that I want to be.”

The person that I wish I could be more than anything in the whole world... someone who is free,

someone who is happy and loved...

Frankie blinked in surprise, his expression softening as the unspoken words settled over him. He

touched Snod’s cheek, conceding, “All right, Obe. We don’t have to stop, but I still should have been

more thoughtful. I could have handled the situation last night better and I didn’t. This is all so new for

you and you only came out with us because I asked you to. I’m supposed to be helping you find your

feet, not putting you down. Can you forgive me?”

Snod’s eyes widened, and he tried to speak, but his teeth clicked together in silent failure.

Forgiveness was an important part of his everyday life when he lived with the Order, but it was

always because of the need to ask for it. Seek it out, bleed for it, suffer for it.

He’d never had anyone ask him for it, and he wasn’t even sure how to respond for a few seconds. At

last, his head began to move, nodding as he said, “Of course I do.”

“Yeah?” Frankie smiled brightly, and Snod’s stomach curled happily in on itself.

“Yes,” Snod said softly, overcome by the warmth that bubbled through him. Forgiving someone,

allowing Frankie to be relieved of his worries, was an amazing feeling.

He caught himself lingering on Frankie’s lips, the warmth in his body moving south as he thought of

something else that felt especially amazing. He smirked, saying casually, “Although, I did only go out

because you promised me something and didn’t deliver.”

Frankie’s eyes widened, gasping, “What?”

“You left me in an extremely uncomfortable physical state with no satisfaction,” Snod scoffed. “It was

very rude considering what you had sworn you would do.”
