brought him comfort, but some of the things Mark had said were bothering him.
Forever did mean something different with Frankie. Forever meant an eternity because Frankie was
immortal.
But Snod was not.
He was human and the terrifying reality of their relationship was settling over him. He was going to
grow old and wither away right before Frankie’s eyes; Frankie, who would never age, never change,
and never die. He knew Frankie was searching desperately for a cure, but how long would that take?
Would Snod be in his fifties by the time Frankie found one? His seventies? What about his nineties?
Fuck, would he even live that long?
The idea of Frankie watching him grow old and die while he remained perfectly frozen in time made
Snod sick to his stomach. That wasn’t fair at all. He loved Frankie with every fiber of his being, and
he wanted to be with him always.
The solution was obvious.
Snod made up his mind there on the spot; he would ask Frankie to turn him.
He would ask Frankie to make him a vampire.
Chapter Eighteen
As the day wore on into evening, Snod couldn’t shake off the incredible decision he had come to. The
only way for him and Frankie to be together forever would be for Snod to become a vampire. Frankie
would eventually cure them, but this way they could stay together without having to fret over Snod’s
looming mortality in the meantime.
Frankie was very close to figuring it out, and he would be able to cleanse them both of the curse
eventually.
No, thedisease, Snod mentally corrected. It was a disease, and Frankie would be able to cure it.
Then they could actually grow old together as humans, and Snod wanted that happy ending for them
both.
But would Frankie actually do it?
Of course, Snod convinced himself. Frankie loved him, and he would do anything to keep them
together. He didn’t like the idea of drinking blood, but he had faith that he wouldn’t have to do it for
very long.
It was perfect.
