He knew he had to calm the fuck down.He needed to get his shit together, or he would push her away, and that was the last thing he wanted to do.

She wrapped her arms around his waist.“I promise I won’t come in again.I’ll just wait out here for you.”

No way in hell he wanted her out on the sidewalk.Besides the cops that milled around, it wasn’t unknown for people to get shot at the station.

He slid his thumb over her bottom lip.God, he loved her lips.

He could feel his pre-cum soak his boxers. He growled and started walking them down the street. What he wouldn’t give to have her naked under him.

The sandwich shop was only a few blocks from the station, so they walked. He noticed men checking Myla out, and he kept telling himself he’d get used to it eventually.

They bought the three sandwiches, one of which was for Jeff that he’d take back to him, and sat at a small table by the window.

He concentrated on Myla and ignored all the looks they got.

Kaleb grabbed onto her hand.“What’s going to happen after work?”

“I’m game for anything.”

“Let’s make dinner at home and then watch a movie?”If he had her to himself, he didn’t have to worry about her being stared at.

She smiled at him.“I love that idea.I have a pasta dish I think you’d like.I’ll run to the store on the way to your house.”

He started picking up the wrappers and napkins they’d used.“Sounds good.We need to get going.”

“Yes, I should get back to the office.”

He walked them back toward the station, holding her hand.“Where did you park your car?”he asked as he looked around.

“Just up a bit on the other side of the street.”

“I see it.”

He got them to her car and waited for her to unlock, throw in her purse, and then turn back to him.He cupped the back of her head and used his other hand on her waist to keep her steady.

“Can you text me when you get back to your office, Baby?”

“Of course, Daddy.”

Kaleb grunted.“I will never get used to hearing you say that.It makes me feel ten feet tall.”

“Good.”

He bent and took her lips because he couldn’t go another second without her.He could feel his control start to slip, but then he heard some catcalls from his fellow officers, and he was able to lift his head.

He bit back a groan at the passion-filled look on her face.“I’d better get in.”

She nodded and slipped into the car.

“I’ll see you soon, Baby.”

She waved as she drove away.

He walked back into the station. He must have looked bad because no one razzed him on the way to his desk.He handed over Jeff’s sandwich before he took off his jacket and draped it on the back of his chair.

“Thanks, how much do I owe you?”

Kaleb waved it away.“I think I owe you.”
