“All right,” Eva said. “Get out of here. And don’t let them break anything.”
“We’ll do our best,” Jack said.
She winked at us before linking her arm with Esme and entering the restaurant. The photographers were still taking pictures of us. Let them. If they wanted to post pictures of me looking at my Omega like she was the only thing in the world, that was fine by me.
Eva’s dress was a blue paler than Esme’s—a result of the image frustrations she had—and just short enough that it drew my eyes to her legs as she disappeared inside.
Liam clapped me on the arm, and we piled back into the car. But I kept looking at the restaurant and wishing we were inside with her.
“It feels wrong to leave her,” Jack muttered as he started the car.
“Tell me about it.” I settled back against the seat and looked at the roof. “How fast do you guys think we can move now?”
“On what?”
I laughed once. “Bonding Eva. She said that night that she doesn’t have filming for three months. Which I assume means she does have some after that. And I know I’m not the only one of us who can’t let her just walk away without being able to feel her.”
They didn’t need to respond. I felt the truth, and I was right.
“Let’s get the move out of the way,” Liam said. “Get everything unpacked. Settle into life a little. But I agree. We can’t let it wait very long.”
Jack nodded and sighed. “We need to talk to the label. And Jeremiah. We’ll have different schedule concerns now.”
“Not much we can do about the next tour,” I said. “They’re not going to reschedule it just because we found our Omega. We’ll have to make it work.”
We’d broken our tour into different branches for different parts of the world. It allowed us to have a bit of a break in between. Which had been great, but now, traveling without her…
It wasn’t a problem for today.
A text pinged on all our phones at once. It was our new group chat with the five of us.
Eva
Is it weird to miss you already?
Tyler
Miss you too, baby.
We all do.
Eva
See you soon.
All of us smiled for the rest of the drive.
CHAPTER FOURTEEN
________
EVA
“They seem nice,” Esme said.
We followed the waitress to our table, and I elbowed her in the side. “You didn’t have tothreatenthem.”
“I’m sure you’ll threaten my pack if I ever find one.”
