“In the back corner of the bedroom you’ll find some bags with some clothes. Nothing fancy, but I think they’ll fit.”

“You bought me clothes?” Something sweet and lovely warmed in my chest.

He laughed. “Well, as much as I don’t love the idea, we knew you’d have to leave our place at some point.”

“All right. I’ll change and then we can go. I need to pack a bag.”

“Or everything,” Tyler whispered.

Glancing over my shoulder, I smirked. “I’m not packing my whole apartment by myself. I’ll work hard at everything, but moving is a whole different ball game.”

They all laughed as I left them in the living room, and I heard Tyler call after me. “Fair enough!”

The clothes were exactly where Liam said they were, and the simple clothes were perfect. Enough for me to get out of here, so I could grab what I needed and come straight back.

CHAPTER THIRTEEN

________

TYLER

“Call us when you’re finished,” I murmured into Eva’s neck where I held her. Cameras clicked in the background because the cat was out of the bag, but I didn’t care when her perfect scent seeped into my senses. “Or earlier, if you want a rescue.”

“That’s not out of the question,” she said. “But it will be fine.”

Jack stole her away from me and kissed her against the side of the car we were using. “Anything we shouldn’t poke around in?”

Eva’s cheeks turned pink. “Well, I’m sure you’ll find my toy collection. But other than that, I don’t have anything too crazy.”

We were moving everything. Or rather, the movers we hired were doing the work, and we were supervising while she had lunch with her mom and sister.

Last night, between food and more fucking, we’d talked about the house. What color she wanted her room painted. What she wanted in the nest. What we wanted for our rooms and our recording studio.

And Eva showed us the power of being Eva May Williams, recruiting her manager to help arrange things. Which was why Wes was at the apartment while people painted the rooms. It was absurdly fast, and I couldn’t seem to stop smiling.

“I should go inside now,” she said.

Dylan and Liam had already kissed her goodbye. Who the hell knew how long it would feel like this, but I hoped it was forever.

“Yeah,” a new voice, teasing, said. “You should come inside now.”

A copy of Eva stood on the sidewalk. She wore a dark blue dress and a polite smile. This was her twin. Esme.

“Hi,” Eva said. “I got distracted.”

Esme snorted. “I bet you did.”

Taking a step forward, I held out a hand, and she shook it. “It’s nice to meet you, Esme. I’m Tyler.”

“You too.” She glanced over the rest of us, and the others introduced themselves. Then she smirked. “I was going to wait until Eva wasn’t with us, but she might as well hear. If you hurt my sister, you won’t see me coming. And I know people who can help make it look like an accident.”

We all froze for a second before she grinned. I burst out laughing along with the others. Eva’s mouth fell open. “May-may.”

Her twin shrugged. “What? They should know the truth.”

Dylan placed his hand over his heart like he’d been shot. “I promise if I hurt her, I’ll be the first to volunteer for destruction.”

“Good.”
