“But you said—”
“No.” Riley pulled his wrists free and reached up to pull Alex down. “Let’s just do this and see what happens.” He ground against him again.
Alex laughed as he gave in and let Riley tug him even closer until they were almost kissing, but not quite. “If you keep doing that, I can tell you exactly what’s going to happen.”
“Yeah?” Riley kissed him, his hands sliding down Alex’s back, encouraging him to lie down on top of him.
“Yeah.” Alex settled between Riley’s spread legs.
Riley ignored the cold seeping through his jeans and lifted his knees up. “And what’s that?”
Alex kissedhimthis time, the first time he’d initiated a kiss, and Riley gripped tight to the back of Alex’s coat, never wanting to let go. When they came up for air, Alex leaned in close to whisper. “I’m either going to come in my jeans or all over you, depending on whether we still have clothes on.”
Riley shivered, whether from the cold or Alex’s words, he didn’t know. “We should get out of these wet clothes.”
He felt Alex smile against his neck. “We really should.”
One more heated kiss later and Alex pushed himself up, his hard-on easy to see in his tight jeans until he tugged his coat back down. He held a hand out for Riley.
The cold rushed in now that Riley wasn’t covered by Alex’s body anymore, and he winced at the wet denim clinging to his arse and thighs as Alex helped him up.
Alex frowned, then started off towards the lodge, tugging Riley after him. “All joking aside, we do need to get you out of those jeans and into something dry and warm.”
“Bed preferably,” Riley mumbled.
Alex laughed and then surprised him by pushing him up against the nearest tree. Exactly like one of his fantasies.
“Mine or yours?” Alex didn’t wait for an answer.
He kissed Riley again, dirty and hot, as if he couldn’t wait to get his hands all over him. Riley forgot all about the cold and the wet; having Alex pressed against him like that was more than enough to keep him warm. They were off and walking again before Riley was ready to let go, and his moan of protest made Alex squeeze his hand.
“We’re almost there. Come on.” Alex tugged again until they were practically jogging back through the snow, laughing every time one of them stumbled.
By the time they got to the front door of the lodge, they were out of breath. Riley leaned against the wall while Alex searched his pockets for the key. Snowflakes clung to Alex’s eyelashes and his cheeks were pink from the cold. When he looked up and held the key aloft in his fingers, his brown eyes were the darkest Riley had ever seen them. Riley’s stomach tightened with anticipation and a little fear. There’d be no coming back from what they were about to do, despite what he’d said earlier. Friends with benefits was so far from what he wanted, he couldn’t believe he’d been able to say it, but if that was all Alex wanted, then he’d take it and deal with the consequences later.
