“Right? It is what it is. Always working and not enough time to meet anyone. Actually, I have a date nextweek.”

“Same lucky girl asbefore?”

“One and the same. I don’t know that she’s lucky, but she’s cool. Maybe we can meet up for dinner next week, talk about how it’sgoing.”

“I’d like that. I can actually find out some details about yourlife.”

“Well, not all of us can stumble into their majorrelationships.”

He bumps his shoulder against mine, and he’s right. I can’t really sympathize with his issue, considering my two big relationships really came to me more than me going out looking forthem.

“I’ve been lucky with that for sure. Well, lucky in some ways,” I acknowledge, because certainly it could have been made easier under differentcircumstances.

“Yeah, right? Eh, it’s all good. With another semester on the horizon, who has time for love and romance anyway?” However, for the first time since I’ve known Ty, I notice something in his expression—sadness, perhaps evenloneliness.

“There’s always time for love and romance,” I assure him, and he smirks, but I can tell my words do little to make him feelbetter.

Eric

“Eric Westright, you need to get your ass back here as quickly aspossible.”

I snicker at the aggressive way Jesse speaks to me, playfully overdramatizing my absence because I had to make the trip to New York afterall.

As wonderful as it has been spending so much time with Jesse and Ty, I knew at some point my responsibilities would kick in and I’d have to rush to take care of business as usual. As much as it sucks to be away from Jesse for any length of time, it’s nice to be back in my element more, schmoozing with the suits at Ramsey & Strike to convince them to follow through with thebuyout.

I lie in my hotel room, in my trunkboxers.

“Maybe absence will make the heart grow fonder,” Itease.

“Absence is pissing me off right now.” He chuckles softly, and it hits my ear just right. I release a soft growl, and he says, “Sounds like you want sometoo.”

“I always wantsome.”

“Well, I’m strokingit.”

The image in my head of Jesse playing with his cock makes me hardtoo.

“You think we need to take care of this?” Iask.

“Come on, Eric. Don’t leave me blue-balling. Take care ofme.”

“I’ll always take care of you.” I don’t intend for the words to come out as seriously as they do, but I mean them. Not only in moments like these, but if anything were to ever happen, if he ever needed me, I would be there the way he’s been there forme.

I slide my hand down my side. “I miss your touch,” I tell him. “When you caress me…the way you put your arm around me and tug me closer to yourbody.”

I take in the sound of his breath on the other end of theline.

“So funny how aware I am tonight of all those things I love about you so much, the things I take for granted. Like the way you smell…or the way you twist your face up when I stare at you for too long, as though you can’t understand what I’m so enamoredwith.”

I slide my boxers off before running my fingers down to my cock, then beneath it, trailingdown.

“What are you doing now?” Jesseasks.

I chuckle. “Pleasuring myhole.”

“And what are youimagining?”
