“He’s my brother. It’s hard for me to be happy if he’s not.”

“Well, I don’t know about a love match, but it seems Nico is pretty obsessed with his weird. And he loves hard. What’s wish number two?”

Shiloh looked away, voice quiet. “I want a normal life.”

“A normal life?” Levi repeated. “What’s a normal life look like to you?”

Shiloh shrugged, looking embarrassed. “Married, kids, a job I get to go to every day, friends, vacations, barbecues, posting pics on Instagram so people are wildly jealous of my life.”

Levi thought about Shiloh’s normal. Kissing each other goodbye every morning, taking kids to school, making dinner, watching tv…having what Jericho and Freckles had. Except for one thing. “I can give you all of that. But my life will always consist of…taking out the trash whenever Jericho needs me. I know that’s not ‘normal.’”

Shiloh just stared at him. “It can be our normal. Your friends make it work.”

Levi smiled. “I likeournormal. You have one wish left.”

Shiloh floundered. “If I have you and a normal life, my brother’s happy, we’re happy…what more could I possibly want?”

“Ask for something silly. Something stupid. Something just for you. Nobody else.” Shiloh seemed to think really hard, then his mouth twisted like he was trying to hide the dirty smile that came with whatever he was thinking. “Uh-oh. Somebody thought of something juicy.”

“Mm, but it doesn’t only benefit me? Does it still count?”

“Is the other person who benefits me?” Levi asked, smirking.

“Uh-huh,” Shiloh said.

“Then lay it on me, Dimples.”

Shiloh couldn’t even look at him when he said, “I wish, no matter how many things we cross off our sexual bucket list, we never reach the end.”

“You want a self-replenishing sexual to-do list?” Levi asked. “Kinky.”

Shiloh’s expression grew serious. “I want all my firsts to be with you.”

“And your lasts, I hope,” Levi countered, crawling up to press a kiss to his lips.

Shiloh looked a little sad when he said, “My only.” Then kissed him again softly. “Nothing counted until I met you. There’s only you. You get all my firsts, my lasts, and my onlys.”

“All of them?” Levi asked, overwhelmed.

“Everything. It’s all yours. I’m all yours.”

Levi deflated a little. “ I wish I could give you all my firsts, too. But I can give you my lasts. And you’ll always be my only.”

“Only what?” Shiloh prompted, eyes shiny.

Levi used his fingers to list off his answer. “My only love, my only husband, the only one I want to kiss like crazy even with morning breath, the only one I want to bicker with over dumb shit, like which brand of paper towels to buy, the only one I can’t live without. My only everything. My only.”

Shiloh sniffled, tears spilling over. “ I can’t wait to tell all your friends what a simp you are for me.”

Levi scoffed. “Like they don’t already know.”

Shiloh carefully set his combs and scissors into their proper sleeves, then rolled his kit up to place in his bag. He inhaled deeply, happiness bubbling up within him at the smell of bleach and blowout spray. He could get high off the smells in this place—probably literally if he was stupid. He waved to the other students as they made their way out.

He stayed back, pulling his phone free and swiping to check his messages. He smiled when he saw the notifications.
