“That’s one down and one more family to go. Minus Resha.” He smiled at me as we exited the complex.
“I’ll let you tell her on your own,” I joked.
Tyler shook his head. “Oh hell no, that’s one conversation I’ll leave to you.”
“Hey? What happened to all theyou can count on me, Mrs. McDonaldstuff?”
He shrugged. “I lied.” He ducked, laughing loudly when I punched his arm.
“Jerk.” I tried to snatch away when he caught me in a hold around my waist, pulling me against his chest. He dipped his head, nuzzling his face into the crook of my neck.
“You want me to tell Resha or anyone else you’re my wife, I’ll do it with bells on.”
I shivered. “You’re still a jerk.”
“I know. But you married me.” He laughed and reached down, squeezing my ass through the dress pants I wore.
It was a good night.
Chapter Twenty-Five
Tyler
“Why are you biting your lip like you’re nervous?”
“What? I don’t bite my—”
“Yeah, you do. Sometimes when you’re horny as hell you bite the bottom corner. When I have you bent over with your back arched, long stroking you, you suck your entire bottom lip between your teeth. But when you’re nervous, you bite just the inside center of your lip. Like right now.” I tilted my head toward her bottom lip.
“Tyler!” she whisper-yelled.
I wrinkled my brows. “What?”
“We are standing at your parents’ front do— What are you doing?” she questioned as I punched in the code to my parents’ front door and pushed it open once the lock disengaged.
“Walking in,” I answered, pulling her by the hand with me. “Anyone home?” I called out. Within seconds I could hear the quick footfalls of who I suspected were my two oldest nephews.
“Uncle Ty!”
I grinned at the sound of Diego’s voice, soon followed by Kyle’s.
“Hey, guys,” I greeted, scooping down to pick up both Kyle and Diego, giving them a kiss before placing them back down.
“Hi!” Kyle waved behind me.
I turned to wrap my arms around Destiny who was smiling down at the boys.
She waved. “Hi, Kyle and Diego.”
A heartbeat later more footfalls gave way as the other members of my family came piling out of the kitchen and downstairs family room. It was Christmas Eve and we were finally able to celebrate with my entire family all together.
“Uncle Tyler, Daddy said that Ms. Destiny is your girlfriend,” Diego giggled as the entire family stood around greeting us.
A tiny laugh escaped Destiny’s mouth and I turned to look down at her. She peered up at me and the smile that was only reserved for her touched my lips and I winked at her. I bent low, crouching down to get eye level with Diego.
“Tyler,” Destiny began, a note of warning in her tone. That only made my smile grow.
“No, buddy, not for the first time in his life, your daddy is wrong …” I glanced up at Carter who was frowning at me, confused.
