They all laughed and Xavion looked at them quizzically.
“Come on, Sunbae, do you think we don’t know? Your contract with MG is over and we all know for sure that you love Emma so much. You are going to turn down the renewal, right?” Chan asked with a quirk of an eyebrow.
Xavion smiled and bit into a chicken.
“We are going to miss you, Sunbae but we understand. it’s time you follow your heart and nuna, Mia and Max, they are hard to resist,” Lay winked.
“Thanks, guys.”
“I guess this is going to be our last hoo-rah, at least for a while,” Chan said with a raise of his shot glass.
“To Xavion and Emma.”
“To Xavion and Emma,” they replied in unison and Xavion smiled,
“Thanks, now I just have to convince her to accept me.”
“Oh, nuna will accept you, sunbae. What’s not to like about an ex-hallyu star?”
They all burst into laughter.

“Mommy are you okay?” Max asked Emma. He placed his hand on her cheek. She pulled him into a hug and kissed his head,
“I’m fine, baby. Mommy is just tired.”
“Thinking of Xavion? I miss him too, mommy. Mia too, so does Nana and grumpy Gramps.”
Emma smiled sadly, “Grumpy gramps?”
“Xavion calls him that,” Max grinned. He touched his mother’s cheek and said, “Don’t be sad, mommy. If you miss him, look for him.”
“Oh baby, life is not so easy.”
“Why? You love him and if you love someone, you stay with the person.”
“Where on earth did you hear that, Max?”
Max shrugged, “Am I wrong, mommy? I heard Nana tell Grumpy Gramps.”
“No baby, you are not wrong but sometimes, life happens and things are not always as pleasant as you wish them to be.”
There was a knock on the door just then and in walked Gramps and Maria with the latter carrying Mia.
“Max, come with me, dear. Let’s leave great-gramps with your mother so they can talk.”
As soon as the door was shut behind them, Emma turned to her grandfather.
“Why are you looking at me like that?”
Maxwell took her hand in his and patted it, “You love that man so much and you’ve pined after him for months. Why don’t you go to him?”
“Gramps...”
“No my dear. Listen to me, you were the one that broke it off with him but you love him and I know he is crazy about you. Why don’t you give love a chance my dear? I cannot remember when last I saw you as happy as you were with him? Yes, you have the babies and you love them as they love you but what’s wrong with having someone who loves you and cares about you in your life, someone you adore as well? Come on, my dear, you won’t always have me and the kids will not always be with you. But that’s not the important thing. What’s important to me is your happiness and you are far from happy now. You should be happy with the man you love, my girl.”
