“I’m not going to have sex with another woman’s man,” she forcefully told him.
His forehead scrunched into a frown. “What are you talking about?”
Folding her arms across her chest and giving him a stern look, she said, “I’m talking about Erin.”
Grinning, he replied, “There’s absolutely nothing going on between Erin and me, I promise.”
“But—”
The words died in her throat when Tyler cradled her head and placed his lips on hers. The kiss went on and on before something penetrated Kaiya’s brain. She wrenched her lips from his.
“We have to stop.”
Tyler scowled. “Are you going to talk me to death instead of allowing me the pleasure of your delectable body?”
His words sent a warm glow marking her face, but she held back when he tried to kiss her again.
“I’m not on the pill,” she blurted out and reddened. “Last time…I…um…I mean in the washroom, we didn’t use any protection, and fortunately, we escaped another unplanned pregnancy.” Her period came a week after their tryst, and she didn’t know how she felt about that, and she wouldn’t dwell on it. “I don’t—”
“Fortunately, all I’ve been thinking of is making love to you again and again, so I have packs of condoms in my wallet.”
She let out a sigh of relief.
“Now, any other business because I’m about to rip a hole in my jeans!”
Kaiya giggled as she felt his rising manhood underneath her. For an answer, she lowered her head and kissed him.
Tyler carried her up to her room and made slow and passionate love to her that left her eyes watering at the sweetness of it. They spent the whole night pleasuring each other but rose early the following morning to avoid questions from their smart daughter.
Chapter 13
Kaiya checked her reflection on the mirror again just to make sure she was looking good for her daughter and her baby daddy. It was two days since they told Lili the truth about her parentage. Tyler had called the previous day to ask her if she would be free to go out with them the following day. Kaiya had laughingly told him that even if she wasn’t, she would clear her schedule for them, which she had done.
Now dressed in a shift dress, Kaiya wondered once again if she wasn’t overdressed for the occasion. Possibly, Tyler just wanted a casual hangout, and she felt as if she was dressed to see the premiere of a movie.
Kaiya giggled. She was feeling this way because she was usually in sweatshirts and leggings. With the advent of Tyler into her life and the knowledge that he loved her in dresses, she always wanted to clothe herself that way to please him. And her hair was no longer always tied in a sleek ponytail but allowed to run free and wild across her shoulders.
She shook her head. What pleasing a man would make a woman do! However, she had to admit that she loved her new look. No longer did she constantly look like a dancer; now, she felt like a sophisticated woman as well.
The sound of the doorbell got her all jittery. With one last glance at her reflection, she turned away and rushed to the living room to get the door. Lili instantly threw her arms around her, which sent warmth rolling through her body. Tyler’s appreciative gaze raking her body sent heat suffusing her cheeks.
“Are you ready?” he asked with a sensual voice, and she wondered for a moment if he was actually referring to the outing or something else.
Blushing because of her errant thoughts, she nodded and picked her purse. Hand in hand with her daughter, they walked to Tyler’s car and got in.
“We’ll go out for lunch, but I want to show you the site where I work,” he explained quietly.
A warm smile crossed Kaiya’s face.
“I hope you don’t mind,” he said when she remained silent.
She smiled at him. “I don’t mind at all. In fact, I can’t wait to see you in action.”
Tyler laughed heartily. He drove at a sedate pace to the mall; the building was still ongoing.
“Wow! It’s huge!” Kaiya exclaimed at the site of the building when Tyler drove to the parking lot.
Tyler grinned. “It’s going to house a lot of businesses.”
