Chapter Seven
One by one, the leadersall stood from their chairs and nodded in agreement.
“Aye,” Sean said.“We can handle that part of this.I also do not kill females.”He looked over at Miguel.“Perhaps his group can do the honors.But men we can kill.”
Serenity looked around and said, “And I can try to get some of your money back.Maybe not all of it.But it looks like she’s been using it to buy a very large house and a few cars.Then for daily expenses, but I can try to get some of it back.”
The men all spoke among themselves then turned and nodded their heads at her.
Serenity gave them a return nod.“I have been tracking the money and I can get a lot of it back.Not all of it but a good sum.”
“We only just found out what this LaDonna did after her brothers were taken down recently,” Kosta told them.“I have been concentrating my research on just her.She apparently took her time and gathered her own army of thugs and thieves.Then ten years ago, she began sending out protection letters.When the money began coming in she got greedy and demanded more.We found she used some of the money for a place to hide in and daily expenses like Serenity said but she also began pocketing a lot of it.I think she is planning to leave everything behind to go somewhere no one knows about her.”
Serenity nodded.“It does look like by her spending that she was going to skip out soon.I found out that she has booked a flight to Greece.Has a passport and has filed the papers to be a citizen there.She’s about ready to leave.”
Sergi took up the explanation, “We think she’s about to turn her back on her own men, leaving them behind to get caught and killed.And that gentlemen, is why we need to find her before she leaves.But we really don’t need anyone’s help doing that.As you can see, we have people who know their stuff.”He motioned to Serenity.“Let us do this takedown and you can handle the fall out.We need to do two things here, find this woman and get our hands on the money.Let us do that and then you can do your part.”
Ling Chin got to his feet and called out, “Will you bring her men in as well?Some of them burned our homes and businesses.We want their blood as well.”
Sergi slowly lowered his head in a firm nod.“So be it.The ones we catch alive will be turned over to all of you.We will inform you all when we get her in custody, her and her men.”Then he looked around to ask, “Do we have an understanding?The Bratva did not do this and we have given you the person responsible.When this is done, there will be no hard feelings, no more tension?”
The men facing him looked around then back at him.They all nodded again.
“Si, get as much of our money back as you can and there will be no more hard feelings,” Miguel stated.“Bring us this puta LaDonna and her men.Then we’ll be good again.”
Sergi nodded.“So be it.”
