Emmaline replied, “Haley always makes valid points.” Landon linked, “Nathan and his lady friend are here.” Ichuckled, “We will be right there.” Landon said, “She’s funny. I actually like that for him. The guy is blushing every six seconds.”
I gasped, “Really?” Landon answered, “Uh huh. He helped Mrs. Blanch open a can of jam and was promptly complimented on his strength. Nathan turned the color of a tomato.” Kiara growled, “That vile woman destroyed an Alpha’s confidence.” Cassandra clearly had done that.
Mrs. Blanch didn’t need help opening that can though. That was either set up by my mate, or a test Mrs. Blanch was conducting for Nathan’s new lady friend. I smelled Lucas before Dylan mentioned being punished.
Kiara linked, “Dominic is appalled." I snorted, “He will get over it and live.” We were just about to get popped when Eric found out Dylan decorated for dinner. Emmaline linked me, “That hardly seems like the detail to focus on. I was reading souls for Nathan’s dates, that’s funny.”
I agreed, “It is but I’m not surprised though. Dylan is averse to ladder climbers and would never allow one to go after Nathan.” Emmaline admitted, “That does make his questions about their souls make so much more sense.”
Eric growled, “Does my house look like it’s Christmas time?” Dylan squealed, “I can decorate your whole house?! LUCAS, I WAS GIVEN PERMISSION!” Lucas smirked at my husband while Emmaline busted up laughing. Eric shouted, “No!”
Dylan gasped, “You giveth and then you taketh away. You cannot decide if you want to be fun or not. It’s like you toy with me dangling the possibility of a new feature, wait for me to fall for it, then you YANK it away from me and revert back to your old settings. You practically shout ‘I shall NEVER have an upgrade in my windup status.’ It’s to lull me into a false sense of security, but we all know you’ll level up from the SGAP level one day.”
Haley popped their group to the main house. Emmaline giggled, “Let’s go! I can’t wait to see how happy Nathan’s soul is today.” Emmaline hugged Dylan and whispered, “Thank you. I know part of this was about me.”
Lucas asked, “What now?” Emmaline stepped back and popped us into the house. Lucas greeted, “Former Luna Marjorie.” I linked Dylan, “A former Luna? Oh, you went for the jugular even though Cassandra is dead.”
I studied the woman then nearly cackled. Because she was a former Luna, but also an Omega. No wonder Cassandra hated this woman. Kiara cackled, “This is golden. Think of how twisted her panties would’ve been knowing that Nathan had befriended a woman she hated, and who is a Former Luna who is an Omega.”
I replied, “Yeah, we are going to get this woman on Dylan’s long term plan. Nathan and Marjorie will be friends with benefits because Cassandra would LOATHE it.” I linked Emmaline, “Ok, we have to get Haley on the magical dates once they know each other better. We’ll get Marjorie all dolled up too.”
Emmaline agreed, “Yes, we need to. Both their souls tell me they are open to that and not looking for anything serious. They make each other happy though. Nathan’s soul is lighter than it’s been since I met him. They aren’t mates, but they could be a moment together.”
I told her, “That’s beautiful.” Jackson said, “It’s good to see you again, Marjorie." Marjorie nodded, “I’m sorry if you’re sad for your loss.” Dylan cackled, “I love her. That phrasing was gold.” My husband began munching on his popcorn.
Eric simply said, “Thank you.” Majorie smiled, as if she knew that meant Eric was not in fact sad his mother was gone. None of us were really. Haley clapped saying, “Alright, everyone. Let’s go into the dining room for dinner.”
Dylan announced, “For the record, this is our meal to celebrate our last Christmas Party planning event in November. We are entering crunch time people. December is PRACTICALLY upon us.” Eric grumbled, “For god's sake, Dylan. It’s not even the last day of November.”
Dylan replied, “Well, it may as well be. The rest of the month is totally useless for my purposes.” Eric rolled his eyes, and we began walking toward the room where dinner was being held. Wesley shouted, “COOL!” Buttercup giggled, “I like this one.” Wesley said, “I’ll conjure you one, or you can have it.”
I linked my arm in Dylan’s asking, “What do the pups think are cool?” We turned the corner, and I saw all the inflatable blow up characters. Eric asked, “Did you rob the hardware store of all their Christmas inflatables, Dylan?’
Dylan replied, “Don’t be silly! I used your credit card and gave them alllllll the money.” Eric sighed, “Of course you did.” Alexander called, “Look at the arch of reindeer, snowmen, and wreaths. That’s cool!”
Dylan grinned at Eric who just shook his head. Marjorie laughed, “I should’ve known you were dead serious about how we this dinner was your segway into Christmas, Beta Dylan.” Nathan chuckled, “What else did he tell you?’
Dylan interjected, “Not to worry about imposing on a holiday dinner because this was merely a celebration of getting so close to my beloved, and time honored, Christmas Party. I told Marjorie here all about Dylanmas.” Eric shot back, “That you haven’t had in years!”
Dylan beamed, “I know! This dinner celebrates my GLORIOUS return! Don’t worry, invitations will follow in the days after Christmas to celebrate the success and the fun had by all. Because who doesn’t need a party after the party to celebrate the return of Dylanmas? Plus, I’ve been inspired for my next yule tiding and great joy to deliver to Alpha Theo.”
Eric asked, “What are you going to do next?” Dylan snorted, “Oh, no, no, Alpha Tattletale SGAP. I’m not going to tell you.” We walked in and everyone gasped. The table was set up with a beautiful red velvet table runner, with garlands, roses and pinecones.
The pups table had replica glass vases filled with candy canes, peppermints, red candy, and the top was a red apple that doubled as a candle. Their cutlery was in a tiny little Santa Hat. Buttercup squealed, “I love it, daddy!”
Dylan knelt down to tell our daughter, “This is just a hint of things to come, in my epic return to hosting the Christmas Party. The day leading up to the adult party is all about you pups, little Buttercup. Dylanmas starts out as pupmas.”
My daughter squealed, “Did you hear that, Wes?” Wesley chuckled, “I did. I was already planning to go with you.” Dylan said, “All the pups shall come. SGAP will make it happen, because he adores my party and the pupmas addition was Nadine and Haley’s idea.” Eric sighed, “That’s certainly a way to phrase how I feel about your party, Dylan.”
Haley said, “It was really Nadine’s idea.” Dylan winked at the pups, “I hear SGAP’s declarations of love loud and clear. He once even designed the party invite when I wasn’t hosting Dylanmas.” Eric rolled his eyes and went to take his seat.
The second he sat down, a snowball pelted him in the face and turned into a glitter bomb. Dylan’s voice said, “Don’t forget my Christmas Eve return to glory Dylanmas party. You RSVP’d already so consider this your reminder.” I covered my mouth as I busted up laughing.
Eric shouted, “DYLAN, FOR GOD’S SAKE WHY?!” Dylan grinned, “Now, look at your festive glitter shirt for our dinner. I knew you loved to rock the shimmer.” Cassie snapped her fingers and Eric’s face and hands were clean. The glitter was just on his shirt now.
Marjorie couldn't contain her laughter after that, and soon everyone was laughing. Kiara linked, “It’s going to happen to all the Conners brothers.” I linked Lucas, “Take a seat so everyone thinks they are safe.” Lucas shot me a smirk and sat down.
Dylan linked me, “You make my heart quiver when you catch onto my plans.” Eric glared at Dylan as he helped Haley into her seat. I looked at the ceiling while the other Conners brothers helped their mates into their chairs.
