The Goblin demanded, “Stop this eternal winter.” I snarled, “NO! I am an Alpha wolf, and I don’t listen to bitch ass Goblins! Complaining about shit that was brought down upon you by your own people. You don’t like it? Police your own better. Don’t make us do it for you if you don’t like our methods.”

The woman asked, “Does no part of you feel bad that the Hackura Crown Prince is killing us in droves again?” I replied, “After you came for his sister? Well, that’s just a shocking reaction Bjourn’s having. This is my shocked face.” I pointed at my face that did not appear shocked in any way shape or form.

The Goblin sighed, “I didn’t attack your mate.” I snarled, “You never fucking will either. Because if you mention his name or use the words attack and mate in the same sentence again YOU WILL NOT LEAVE THIS FIELD ALIVE!” Kiara came out at the end.

Emmaline warned, “My Beta Female means that with her whole soul.” The Goblin pointed at her, “This is your people’s doing.” I snarled, “Now, you want to talk to my Luna like that? That’s my sister in law, and you don’t get to talk to her like that.”

I let Kiara come forward and shift. The Goblin screamed as I chased her to the border, where Maximus materialized and grabbed her. I shifted back and Emmaline snapped clothes onme. Maximus said, “Well, now this is perfect. I have an early Christmas present for my Uncle Bjourn.”

The woman screamed, “I just wanted the snow to stop!!” I muttered, “It’s a damn blizzard if we are being accurate. Because you’re having a FROST FILLED FUCKING CHRISTMAS! Get it right, goddamn it!” Emmaline said, “Maybe don’t shift again, you’re pregnant.”

I snorted, “I can shift until I’m much closer to my due date. Even then, I could safely do so in an emergency. I’d just go into labor.” I rubbed my stomach and felt like Hank kick. The woman pleaded, “Let me go, please.” All while looking directly at me.

I asked, “Am I holding you?” The woman reasoned, “He’ll listen to you.” I snorted, “You don’t even know who he is, and you clearly have not been paying attention to the damn blizzard bullhorn in your realm. I’m pissed the fuck off! Why the hell would I stop Maximus from taking you to Bjourn?”

The woman turned to Maximus and fear filled her eyes. The Goblin whispered, “Duke Maximus?” Maximus smirked, “Aww, have you heard of little old me?” The woman answered, “Of course I have.” Maximus chuckled, “Then you should know I won’t let you go. My dad is quite protective of this pack and my Aunt. I don’t care for the tone you took in her presence.”

The Goblin stupidly said, “I said nothing around a Demon or a Hackura.” Maximus burned her with his fire. Emmaline said, “It’s ok, Maximus.” Her nephew disagreed, “It’s not. You are my Aunt and people know that.”

The Goblin snorted, “What?” Emmaline sighed, “You’re making this so much worse for yourself. My sister is mated to his dad.” The Goblin scoffed, “You’re not his Aunt.” Kiara snorted, “Uh oh.” Yeah, they were about to get the Water Fairy mad.

Icicles pierced the Goblin’s arms and legs, and she screeched like a stuck pig. Emmaline warned, “You will not tell me what is true about my life and what is not. Maximusismy nephew. Now, your little visit has earned me telling my sister you said otherwise. Katie is very protective of her children. PLUS, it’s about to rain icicles in your realm now. You people don’t learn.”

I grinned, “That’s definitely getting added to my bullhorn yelling it’s a Frost Filled Christmas.” Emmaline high fived me saying, “You know it.” Lucas linked, “Why is Emmaline so angry?" I answered, “People are being assholes, but don’t worry it’s handled. Plus, Maximus is here.” Lucas snorted, “Which means more Hackura are too.” It probably did, yes.

Maximus winked, “I’ll handle this chick, Auntie Em.” Emmaline walked over and kissed his cheek then shot a snark filled look at the Goblin saying, “I know you will, nephew.” Kiara snickered, “Oh now they’ve done it. Our Frost Filled Christmas in the Goblin realm just got worse.”

I teased, “Darn the luck.” Kiara chuckled, “I know. It’s just not what we wanted at all.” I’d read enough about Goblins to know they’d get out their shovels and dig the hole deeper, I just didn’t anticipate it would be with Emmaline over Maximus being her nephew or not.

Corbin faded in, “Let’s go home, brother. We have the Thanksgiving / celebration of the Christmas party planning meal later.” Maximus snorted, “You weren’t supposed to follow me, little brother.” Corbin grinned, “Yet you knew I was here.”

Maximus replied, “Yes, I did and don’t you forget it.” Corbin laughed and hugged Emmaline then walked over to Maximus. Emmaline sighed, “They keep getting so big. I swear just the other day they were so little.” Both boys laughed then Maximus shimmered them out.

Five portals opened and more people left. Emmaline snorted, “My nephews are literally never alone.” I replied, “Unless they want to be.” Kiara grumbled, “They may be able to fade back, but I can hunker down and hide.” I agreed, “We shift into an animal, that’s awesome. They have cool powers, but we do too.”

Kiara agreed, “We do.” I said, “Plus, I always have you to talk to in my head.” Kiara chuckled, “I’d never want anyone else. You and I are a good team, and I’m glad you’re my first human.” I agreed, “That we are.” Dylan linked me he was causing chaos.

I snorted, “Pop me to Black Mountain for the fun sexy time, then get back here.” Emmaline grinned, “I have to admit, I love all the planning sessions they have and the fun they bring.” I reasoned, “You know Dylan offered to have you help plan.”

Emmaline admitted, “So did Haley, but I really just want to enjoy the party this year. Plus, I’m planning the pack’s party and helping Katie plan one at her business in the Hackura realm. Maybe next year I’ll help with Dylanmas, but this year I’m enjoying being an observer.”

Kiara snickered, “Until she finds out she could’ve known the fighting Krampus twist.” Yeah, well as a Fairy, Emmaline would probably find that twist quite fun. Emmaline popped me to Black Mountain then popped away.

A gust of wind circled me and suddenly I was in a very short shirt, or dress, that made me look like Santa. I had on bright red underwear you could see a hint of. Kiara purred, “Mate will love this look.” I agreed, “Definitely.”

I skipped off to find the right spot. Mom linked, “Did you know Dylan set Nathan up on a blind date?” Kiara howled with laughter. I asked, “Did he really? Well, you know Dylan is just following the Cassandra allotted amount of grief timeline. Obviously, my mate is following her wishes even in death.”

Mom snorted, “Dylan loathed that woman and would much rather dance on her grave than follow her wishes.” I chuckled, “Not exactly. Dylan would adore to follow her wishes, that aren’t really her wishes, if he knew it would upset her. Nathan being on a date would upset Cassandra, even in death.”

Mom giggled, “Nathan just told your dad that Dylan set him up. He’s not asking to be bailed out, so maybe he’s having fun.” Ireplied, “Good. Then maybe he will stop getting so drunk.” Mom replied, “At least the pups don’t know about it anymore.”

I agreed, “True. Nathan gets popped home, or makes it home, almost every night now. It would be better if he stopped drinking people out of liquor and that’s Dylan’s goal. It’s probably a slow goal too. Nathan’s not jumping in the sack with anyone after what I heard.”

Mom groaned, “You know?” I replied, “Dylan knows, so I do. My husband considered pouring bleach in his ears. Then my mate asked Aiden if there was a way to remove that knowledge. None of us need to know Cassandra acted like sex was a chore. I could’ve guessed though.” Mom asked, “What was Aiden’s answer?”

I answered, “That Dylan would have to lose the entire memory of that moment with Nathan, and Dylan didn’t want that. My husband just wants to help, and let’s be honest here; Nathan deserves some damn joy. Hell the man needs some companionship, with someone who isn’t sneering at him or tearing him down that’s interesting him in.”

“He tried so hard with Cassandra, and she never saw his efforts. That evil, vile woman threw his parents in his face left and right. She tore Nathan to shreds metaphorically, never showed up to his grand gestures, and complained about him constantly. Let the man have some fun on a damn date.”
