Lexi’s eyes briefly went to Haley adding, “It’s hard to kill someone who mistrusts you.” Fang shouted, “SHE THINKS THE GOBLIN/FAIRY/ROGUE ATTACK WAS MOMMY QUEENIE MEANIE TOO!” I agreed, “Definitely.”

Haley scoffed, “Or it’s someone obsessed with Cassandra herself. They could have been killing people who ‘wronged’ her.” I hummed, “I don’t like that as much. I’m going with it was her. Somehow.” Haley snorted, “Let me just fucking guess, after he died Cassandra’s side of the family was distanced from the Conners family.”

I agreed, “They were. Nikknasty spent the most time with Cassandra. They bonded and she became the worst, but she’s long since dead. She wasn’t so bad as a pup, but then Mommy Queenie Meanie swooped in and the tide turned. The rest of the family was kept away, barely spending any time here. One might ask why.”

TeleTed reasoned, “True, but you are Dylan Frost. You have thoughts about it.” I replied, “My intel said Cassndra’s dad was worried she was spiraling Darrin into a depression. There was just no proof without the man himself.” Haley gasped, “What?!”

I replied, “Think about the lack of confidence Darrin had for an Alpha until you got him the Hackura Games, where he proved his fighting skills. Think about his mate and Harold’s. Hell, even Molly to a degree. Beta’s notice these things, but people raised around that woman, besides yours truly, barely recognized her cutting comments for what they were.”

“Folks around here were left to puzzle her comments and wonder if they were cutting or a compliment. Because she disguised them in veiled ways. I, myself was kept pretty far away from young Darrin.”

“The times I saw him brought questions that at the time I could not prove. I wasn’t allowed around Harold that much either. You know who would’ve noticed an Alpha in depression? Good old Gramps, with Gamma blood, who was wise to his daughter’s ways.”

“I know you want to ask how Nathan, his Beta, and his Gamma wouldn’t notice; don’t worry, I’ll tell you. They were allbrought up in a pack with blatant trauma and a bad culture. They created the culture that is here today before it was all doom and gloom.”

“Dale says that Tag convinced everyone that Nathan’s mate would probably reject him over Tag. It wasn’t even an out there thought from what I’ve read about the evil man. Now, you’ve got Beta and Gamma bloods relieved that their Luna is standing by their Alpha and accepting him.”

“You have three people who were raised in a totalitarian pack now free of that abuse and unable to recognize the slight verbal abuse that was brought in. They were used to in your face abuse, physically and verbally.”

“They wanted to believe in Mommy Queenie Meanie because she stood by their Alpha. After being told a mate would run from your Alpha, you’re just happy your Alpha isn’t depressed because he lost his mate over his horrible dad that said Alpha loathed.”

“Just like so many others that still want to give Mommy Queenie Meanie the benefit of the doubt and believe she’s not the snake she was. Nathan’s Beta and Gamma blood were fooled. One could say Porter realized it though. He definitely kept Karen away from Mommy Queenie Meanie once she and Nathan started traveling. Their trips to Karen’s home pack were certainly quite long.”

I paused, watching TeleTed go through the emotions about what I was saying. Haley was a vault as always. Darn! Fang offered, “We’ll crack through somehow. It will just take time.” Yes, King Fire Hands had given me information about how our Super Special Fun Sized Fairy Ninja Goddess locked up. We needed the key to free her to show her emotions.

I wasn’t surprised Lexi just looked mad. She had a lock on her emotions and had to for her Hood work. Still, she was more expressive than my Super Special Fun Sized Fairy NinjaGoddess. I just had more work to do to crack the facade to bring her to her natural state. It would be fun.

Haley surmised, “So, Cassandra’s father realized her goddamn actions were abusive and then he died. Did the family suspect her? Was there someone obsessed with her in their pack that would kill for her? Because I will kick them the fuck out of this house the second they show up if they suspected.”

I replied, “I don’t think so on either question. I was dismissed by the Conners men for that. No one sees Mommy Queenie Meanie as a murderer.” I whispered, “Except me, and some say I’m reaching because I hate her.”

Haley snorted, “I don’t dismiss the possibility. She’d never do it herself but engineering it is definitely a possibility.” Lexi agreed, “I don’t dismiss Dylan’s suppositions on this topic for a single second.” I admitted, “I really can’t prove it.” Fang replied, “I do love that they agree with us, though.” That was nice.

Haley conceded, “It’s probably been too damn long now to find out. I could do a charm with Aiden to see what happened, but if he died in his house then he was alone. The wolves would’ve scented someone else.”

I agreed, “He was alone, they had cameras in their house because the pack was on alert. I suspected poison but none of the tests came back with that.” Haley questioned, “Why was the pack on alert?” I answered, “They were several break-ins.”

Haley snorted, “How fucking convenient. Yeah, that fucking bitch had something to do with it. Wittingly or unwittingly.” Fang chuckled, “I love her. Platonically.” Honestly, so did I. Lexi admitted, “We may never know if Cassandra did it, but damn if it doesn’t feel right.”

Haley said, “To keep her control, she’d do it. Cassandra wouldn’t consider it malicious because it was ‘for the best.’ That fucking cunt. Her dad was no longer in her core family. In her mind if Nathan found out Darrin was depressed becauseof her that would threaten her position and bond. Or someone obsessed with her could’ve done it to protect her because she told them that.”

Lexi groaned, “I hate getting in that woman’s head.” Haley snorted, “I actively refuckingfuse to. She’s an absolute psychopath and I’m fucking glad she’s gone. Excuse me.” Haley left and went to check on the food.

I linked Lacy, “I’ve stirred up such joyous feelings.” Lacy snorted, “I sense the sarcasm.” I admitted, “I doused a Mommy Queenie Meanie fire. Now, I need to set the mood. Get Emmaline to bring you here. Lucas can enjoy his treat back home where he can’t hear us. I’m such a good person when he never lets me sleep. It’s all for Dylanmas.”

I winked at the Hood members in the room, “You guys should flash on home for the break and some magical fun times.” TeleTed admitted, “I don’t think this conversation was a great mood setter.” I assured him, “There is always a method to the madness, TeleTed. A balance to the zen and the za of it all.” Lexi chuckled and they flashed out.

I skipped into the kitchen. Mrs. Blanch smiled at me, and I winked at her. I said, “Precious Super Special Fun Sized Fairy Ninja Goddess, how’s the food?” Haley answered, “It’s fucking perfect.” I grinned, “Goodie. Now, I coordinated with my full blooded Fairy bestie for certain fun things.”

Haley smirked asking, “What did Lucinda do?” I answered, “Well, I couldn’t have SGAP trying to change the tone of my post planning our Christmas Party celebration, so I need him to be busy. He’s had the day off and he’ll be getting up to trouble if we leave him to his own devices. I know he will be lamenting about my decorations, and I just can’t have that.”

Haley and Mrs. Blanch were suddenly in a gust of wind, in their Christmas attire. Haley was in a green velvet crop top withred buttons and a short red skirt with Christmas trees on it. She had red and green stockings, paired with thigh high boots.

I grinned, “Now, go distract SGAP who is playing his wonderful game of football that I’m not playing in this year. Meanwhile I’ll hunt down where my precious and lovely mate has shown up.” Haley giggled and flipped her hair. I gasped, "Your hair is red, and green! I LIVE!” Haley laughed and popped out.

I held up my fingers for Mrs. Blanch, “In three, two, one.” I held my hand out and SGAP growled possessively. I said, “Gosh, I just don’t know what I’ll do when he becomes unpredictable. It’s really going to put a crimp in my style. Good thing he’s predictably predictable.”

Mrs. Blanch chuckled, “I’ll just go find my man.” I agreed, “You do that you adorable, gingerbread woman you! I see my full blooded Fairy bestie with her sense of humor. You are a baked treat. It’s amazing, truly. Hats of the Queen of Faerie for that one.” Mrs. Blanch skipped off.
