“I know another way to warm them.” He winked, but was then serious as he asked, “Are you feeling all right?”
“I feel amazing.”
He ran a hand up her leg, to her stomach, and then her breast. “I’ll say you do.” His chuckle sent a thrill through her, as did his kiss on her shoulder.
“How about you?”
“Better than amazing,” he replied. “I can’t seem to get enough of you.” He caressed her breast and her body responded, shifting closer to him.
Oh my.
She moaned, part protest, part desire. “You’re going to kill me.”
Another chuckle, low and satisfied. “That wouldn’t do.” He took his hand away and sipped his coffee.
Damn. She should have kept her mouth shut.
Her phone rang somewhere in the distance. She had no idea where it ended up last night.
“I’ll get it.” Sam moved with a speed and grace, not even placing his mug down as he left the room.
His butt was delicious. She hadn’t touched it nearly enough. Something to fix later.
The phone stopped ringing and she heard his voice. Had he answered it, or had it stopped ringing?
He laughed as he returned, phone to his ear. “Has anyone told you you’re very nosey, Ceiveon?”
Penelope grinned. Her best friend would have a field day about Sam answering her phone, particularly at this time of morning.
“I’ll let Penelope answer that.” He handed her the phone.
“Morning, Five.”
“Oh my God,” Ceiveon shrieked. “You slept with that sexy hunk, didn’t you?”
Sam’s answering grin made it clear he could still hear her.
“That’s none of your business.”
“Tell me everything. Was he as good as he looks?”
Sam raised an eyebrow, so she went with it.
“Better. Much, much better.”
His answering grin was worth it and he kissed her once before leaving the room to give her some privacy. She sighed.
“I want all the details.”
“All I’ll say is—” She checked to make certain he was gone and then lowered her voice. “The best sex of my life.”
Ceiveon shrieked again and Penelope held the phone away from her ear. “This is brilliant. I’m so happy for you. What are you going to do now?”
“Well, I wasn’t planning on moving from my bed until I go to work tomorrow.”
“Yes! I remember those days.” She sighed. “OK. I’m going to go, but the minute you surface I want a call with all the details.”
“All right. Love you.”
