Something evil was there.
Gabby shuddered.
“I hope he listened and didn’t go in there alone. It’s bad under that water. Something lurks there,” she admitted, recalling her fall into the chilly water.
It had been terrifying, and something she’d never forget.
It tried to get her.
Granted, it gave her an amazing relationship with Finn, her rescuer, but that didn’t mean she wanted to press her luck with it.
Finn reassured her.
“Like I said. I warned him about that already. Hopefully, we can back him up when it’s time to do that. I hope he’s good at diving, and he isn’t freaked out by some murky water. I remember trying to find you, Gabs. It wasn’t easy.”
No, it wasn’t, and they’d gotten damn lucky that he had found her.
At that, Gryphen reassured him.
“Michael is an Archangel. He’s good at everything. He can sneak up on you before you know he’s there, and he’s good with bombs and water.”
Uh, well, if he said so.
Finn had a million questions, but unfortunately for him, there was no time. They were at the castle, and it was about time for them to clean up on aisle relationship.
And it was one hell of a mess too.
When Graham blew it up, he did it spectacularly. In the back of Finn’s mind, he was willing to take the man into custody and get him the help he needed at an institution. He’d do anything to save his life.
PERIOD.
As they parked the vehicle, they all got out, and Ian handed his bag to his man.
“Gabby and I will wait for the workmen to show up for the day. We’ll let him them into the castle.”
That worked for him.
Like he’d planned, he was going to help Graham, and then Michael, in that order.
Ian held out his hand.
“Can I have your phone?” he asked his fiancé.
Gryphen handed it to him, knowing why he needed it. The castle had the same security as the Blackhawk house back home.
Or it would once the place was renovated.
The gate was controlled by tech made by Leonard Industries, and he had access to it.
“Thanks,” Ian said, giving his man a kiss on the lips before they went their separate ways. “Tag me in if you need help,” Ian offered. “Gabby and I will be more than happy to focus on Michael.”
Oh, he would.
“Okay, my love,” he offered. “We’ll drop our things in the bedroom wing upstairs,” he stated, as Finn took some of Ian’s things to help carry them. “What room is he in?”
Yeah, about that…
He couldn’t answer that. Last night had been so chaotic that he’d never thought to ask. It wasn’t like he’d expected Gryphen and Ian to arrive today.
