My moan is the only sound in the room. I don’t think I’ll ever get used to the feeling of him entering me, but I am becoming accustomed to waking up with him, seeing his wild, sleep-mussed mane, and falling asleep with him at night. I’m hooked and don’t want it to end.

I know what he’s doing, he’s putting me in a relaxed state to calm my nerves before the meeting. Axel roughly grabs my waist, grinding me on him in the most delicious way. My thoughts fly away to leave me here in this moment to take the pleasure he’s giving me. There will be no other man like him for me.

It’sweird walking into a building you’ve grown to hate. All of the good memories I’ve had at iFit Magazine has been tarnished by its leadership and his entitled daughter. I stay behind the big wall I call Axel and Beau as some new girl escorts us to the conference room. Beau enters first, and I hear Curtis, happily greet him as ‘Mr. Behr’ but stops speaking when he sees Axel. Axel goes out of his way to keep himself out of the limelight since he retired. A well-studied person would know who Axel is, but Curtis obviously didn’t bother.

“What are you doing here,” Curtis sneers. “I don’t have time for jokes. I need to meet with the head of Wassergot” His eyes land on me at the end of his sentence. He stands abruptly. “Security!”

“Sit down and shut up,” Axel growls. “You wanted the leader,” he spread his arms, “you got him.”

Surprised, Curtis looks to Beau. “Then who are you?”

“I’m Mr. Behr’s lawyer. Are you ready to proceed with the meeting?”

“Sorry I’m late, Daddy. I was showing Dre his new office.”

She’s wearing a too-tight dress as usual. The light gray washes out her skin tone, and her lace front isn’t applied properly, but that’s none of my business. Like the obsessed stalker she is, she spots me immediately. Ashley wouldn’t look so smug if she knew why we were here. Ashley saunters to the door and calls Dre to join the meeting. Honestly, if she knew the kind of dick I was getting from Axel, she’d sit down somewhere. No part of me wants Dre back. I’m actually happy it’s over.

He appears, neat as usual. On the basic level, I can recognize why I initially thought he was attractive but the sight and thought of him sicken me. He’s so petty and childish.

“If this is some attempt to get me back…” He starts his protest with his eyes on my cleavage. “It will not work.”

Right, only Ashley believes that.

“I assure you she’s not here for you, sir. Have a seat,” Beau orders coolly.

I like him.

“Who are you? Her other man? You both share her?”

Beau snorts at Dre’s delusions. “That’s none of your business, but if we were, there’d be a big hole in your ‘she wants you back’ claim, don’t you think?”

I stifle a giggle. Axel is horny, being passed between him and Beau would kill me. This is fun. For once I don’t have to talk, argue, or defend myself. I have two people doing it for me. Dre stares at me as he sits. It’s pointless, I don’t have anything to say to either one of them.

“Now that the theatrics are over, let’s get down to business,” Axel suggests. “I’ll formally introduce myself. Hello. I’m Axel Behr, founder, and CEO of Wassergot. I think it’s obvious why I pulled my advertisement from your magazine.”

“I’ll admit, the personal things have gotten out of hand…” Curtis begins backpedaling but Axel holds up a hand.

“We’re beyond that. Your daughter has a vendetta big enough to go after Heaven’s man.” He pauses to look at a bewildered Ashley as he squeezes my thigh. “Thank you for that.” Then he continues to his original thought. “I can see you overlooking that. It’s your daughter's love life. Then your daughter plans her wedding at the same venue Heaven was considering for her wedding. I can understand you not knowing that. Where you went wrong is approaching her in Hawaii. Then, after you saw with your own eyes how your daughter taunts her, you didn’t say or do anything but had plenty of lies to add to a bogus article for your website.”

Axel shifts his attention to Dre. “You’re not worth my breath.” Then he looks at Ashley. “You’ve let your jealousy control yours, your dad’s, and your husband’s life. You harassed Heaven until she quit and married her ex. What more do you want? Aren’t you happy?”

Ashley sits fuming with her arms folded while refusing to acknowledge Axel’s question.

“Is this why you’re here? To come in like a big man and put us in our place? We don’t need your account. I’m celebrity enough to pull other sponsors,” Dre boasts like an idiot.

Axel and Beau chuckle at his statement, not at all impressed by his bravado.

Beau hands Axel a piece of paper and Axel slides it over to Curtis. They didn’t discuss their plan with me so I look on like it’s a tennis match.

“Purchase agreement?” Curtis practically yells.Oh, plot twist.“I’m not selling!”

“It’s a good offer,” Beau offers. “With the size of your company and the decent reputation, it’s a smidge under what you’d get if you’re selling it willingly.”

“I’m not selling at all,” Curtis maintains.

“I’m taking it either way. You can accept this offer, or I can drag you to court, bankrupt you with legal fees, and get it for cheap. I have no problem dropping you and them firmly back in the middle class. The cost of living isn’t too bad in Houston, you can get a nice house for two-hundred thousand, which I’ll make sure is all you can afford.”
