Cade shouted, the sound nonsensical and abrupt. I forced my eyes to meet his. He watched me with wide, wild eyes. I didn’t stop the roll of my hips. His knot throbbed and ballooned.

I so desperately want his knot . . .

No, he didn’t deserve the pleasure of knotting me. I hiked onto my knees, pushing against the bed last minute until half his cock remained inside me.

His lips parted, and cum spurted into me, warming me. I shivered, flexing my channel around his length. So much cum.

All reason faded from his eyes, and it was just him looking at me with a mix of shock, anger, and awe. He suddenly shoved me off his cock, and I bounced on the mattress, managing to catch myself before I hit the floor.

“What is it?”

He kept backing up, his jaw flexing. The door slammed shut behind him with finality.

I couldn’t feel anything other than excitement.

They agreed to my terms.

Chapter 10

Iset aside the empty bowl on the nightstand just as the door opened and Dorian entered. The door remained ajar behind him. His gaze dropped to where I was massaging my wrists. They were almost healed with only a small scab along the sides of my wrists where my bone was.

“Do you need anything?” he finally asked.

I frowned, furrowing my eyebrows. Two nights had passed with me lounging in the bedroom. I hadn’t left, reeling over Rafe and Cade’s claiming. Sticking to my room was best since I’d needed space from them. Luckily, they all seemed to be avoiding me other than Dorian coming in to bring me food or to ask me if I needed something . . . just like now.

But unlike the last two days, this second visit was much earlier. The sun had just set. No way they were going to sleep.

“No,” I answered. Dorian nodded and was halfway turned when I said, “You haven’t changed your mind, right? You guys accepted my conditions.” I hated the weak tone of my voice.

He turned back around, settling his dark green eyes on me. The light from the lamp made the color brighter.

“We did,” he said, shoving his hands in his pockets. The ivory linen fabric of his pants fluttered. The long-sleeved black shirt had a few open buttons at the top, allowing me a peek at his pale skin.

“If we’re working together,” and I wasn’t going to try running away, “I need a few things from the store. I don’t want to keep wearing the same dress.” To keep it fresh, I’d been showering every morning and night, but I could no longer continue this way.

Dorian looked contemplative and finally nodded. “I’ll take you to purchase some things.”

I perked up.

Shopping. One of my only pleasures in life. That was what Father never skimped on. He gave me the best tutors and bought me whatever I pleased. It was all in an effort to further his goals, but whatever, it was the only pleasure I had been allotted.

He was almost out the door when veryfemininetitters echoed from outside.

“What was that?”

Dorian’s shoulders stiffened. I was on my feet, and facing him with my next breath . . . A rock settled in my stomach.

“Where are they?”

Dorian opened his mouth, but not letting him finish, I slinked past him, avoiding his grip. Just outside the door was the living room to the left. I froze at the threshold of the hallway entrance.

A woman sat on the couch, one leg over Cade’s sweat-covered thigh, her hand rubbing down his bare chest. Rafe sat on herother side, arms crossed and head tilted back while he stared at the ceiling. She ran her fingertips over Rafe’s shoulder.

Hurt, pain, and rage flooded to the forefront, but I masked all of it.

“Ah,” I said, raising an eyebrow.

The woman whipped her head toward me, but Cade’s reaction left me confused. He burst to his feet, putting distance between him and the woman.Like I’d caught him.
