Yep.Muscles.Iknew it!And I want to lick them.

It would appear Rygar has no intention of releasing me, but I really want to see my new tattoo.“Andy, do you have a hand mirror?”

Andy goes through his station and gives me a handheld mirror so I can inspect that new mark on my neck.Impressive.No symbolism or alphabet I’ve ever seen. Thanks to my history as a military brat, I’ve lived on five continents and twice that many countries. The mark on my neck doesn’t look like any language I’ve ever seen.Rygar really is from another star system.

“Begin.I am ready.”Rygar’s voice is hoarse, as if he’s having trouble speaking.

“Um, sure thing, dude.”Andy doesn’t mention covering my tattoo again as he takes the design from Rygar. His focus is on my husband and getting his skin prepped for the tattoo.

Once the stencil is in place on Rygar’s neck, a quiver moves through me.He wants to be with me so badly that he’s embedding my name in his flesh. That act alone is more permanent and committed than anything another man has ever done for me.

Those bright, glowing, blue eyes gaze into mine as the tattoo needle buzzes.“I join with you freely, my soul now bound to yours. Our bond is unbreakable, now and forevermore.”

A throaty moan is ripped from deep within my soul and my mouth drops open.Sonic waves of emotion engulf me as if I’m overdosing and Rygar is the drug. The empty space within fills withhim, our fates entangled.I swear I can see a glowing sphere of energy moving around and between us.I try to blink it away, but the shimmering, translucent form grows brighter, expanding until it fills the entire room. The closer Andy is to finishing Rygar’s mark, the bigger and wilder the energy field becomes. It’s like the ink is forging an invisible, psychic bond.

Is this why he kept using the word astral? Is this light I’m seeing ghost energy, spirit world stuff?I’ve always been too practical for this kind of hocus-pocus, voodoo bullshit, but holy shit, I have zero explanation for what I’m seeing.Sub-zero for what I’m feeling.

The air in the tattoo parlor swirls with energy as the power builds. It’s an electrical charge crackling as it interacts with the physical world, stronger with every line that emerges on Rygar’s neck.

What is happening?

The room grows visibly brighter and it’s like I’m seeing the world through blue and silver tinted sunglasses.

“What the hell?”Andy glances around wide eyed.

“Just finish it.”Rygar commands with a snarl, not even glancing in his direction. His focus remains solely on me.

A few minutes later, Andy lifts the tattoo gun from Rygar’s neck.“All done.”

The force flooding my body feels like I’m mainlining power from a downed electrical wire.

I open my mouth to ask Rygar what just happened. But he’s rising from his seat, his gaze locked on me.

“We really should wrap those up to keep them from getting infected.”Andy states.

Rygar shoots him a hard glare.“Get out.”

“But—”

“Leave.Right now.Lock the door behind you.You won’t remember anything about us or our marks.”He waves his hand in front of the guy’s face and this time I’m sure I see a brief flash of light.

Andy’s jaw and lips go slack. His gaze loses focus like he’s sleepwalking. He lays his tattoo gun down on a metal tray and then heads straight out of the tattoo parlor. The front door latches shut with an audibleclick.I hear the jangling of metal keys followed by the door’s lock sliding into place.

I don’t have a single cohesive thought in my head. All I can do is feel.“Now, can we get a room and get naked?”

“Are we not in a room?”

“But?”

He yanks me into his arms.“I can’t wait.I must have you now.”

His words short circuit my brain. No guy has ever wanted me this badly.I nod in agreement.“Okay.”Because I’m afraid to admit it, but I think I want him more.

His lips meet mine.My body breaks out the streamers and kazoos.

It’s finally happening.I’m about to have sex with my new husband… in a freaking tattoo parlor.
