But that she didn’t care or want to use condoms in their sexual future had her pausing. Why not? What was it about Grant Weston that made him the exception to her hard and fast rules?

She turned on her side and propped her elbow, her hand on her head, and watched him watching her. She idly looked him over, not sure she’d really had sex with a specimen this attractive. He had to be the best looking guy she’d ever been with. But to be handsome and talented in bed? She hadn’t been kidding before when she’d said most good-looking guys didn’t try hard.

Grant had tried and succeeded. Oh boy, had he.

“What’s that smile for?” he asked, tracing her lip with his finger. He leaned in to kiss her. “Mmm. You taste good.”

“So do you.”

He smiled as he pulled back and, studying her, laughed.

“What’s so funny?”

He looked super pleased with himself. “I’m prepared to hear the rules now. I’m too tired to try out the many fantasies we haven’t gotten to. But if you don’t hurry up, I’ll get hard again, and then I’ll be deep inside you while you moan for me some more.”

“Stop.” She blushed.

He laughed. “Go on.”

“It’s not funny. We should talk about rules. Rules make things clear, so there’s no confusion later.”

“I agree.” He turned serious. “I’m just teasing you. Tell me what I should know.”

“Well, I don’t want you to feel anything but good with me. No pressure, no rules to be anyone but who you are.”

“Deal. The same goes for you. I don’t need someone telling me I’m perfect. I already know that.”

“Oh boy.”

He grinned. “I want you to be honest with me. Always. If I’m not doing something that pleases you, you need to fix me. Make sure I’m making you happy, because that makes me happy.”

“Okay.” She cleared her throat. “But for the record, you touched me in all the right places before. You and I really seem to click, physically.”

He looked pleased. “We do.” He glanced down at his finally flaccid shaft. “We totally do.”

Proud that she’d satisfied him without working at it, she nodded. “Right. I hadn’t mentioned it, but I’m safe as well. I had sex over a year ago, and it was safe. He wore a condom.”

“Not the ex,” Grant said, his eyes narrowed.

“No, someone else. Just a guy I was friends with, my rebound date. The sex was just okay, but I needed a new guy to get over the old guy.”

“Are you over the old guy?” he asked.

Frank and to the point, that was Grant. “Mostly.” She sighed. “More over him than not over him. But I won’t lie. He hurt me.”

Grant pulled her in for a hug and kissed her. “I know. I promise to try to never hurt you. Ever. I’m going to do my best to do the opposite. Give you so much pleasure you can’t go a day without moaning my name.”

“Grant.”

“Close, but it should be more like, Grant,” he said with breathy quality.

She laughed. “You’re a goof.”

“I’m your goof.” He looked way too serious, until he added, “for the next month and a week. No other women for me. No other men for you. Just you and me having a fun holiday making each other happy. Is that okay?”

“That’s perfect.”

“And I promise not to be offended when you fall in love with me.”
