“Oh?” She put a hand over his crotch, and he swore. She tingled with the need to give him as much bliss as he’d given her.
He covered her hand. “Yeah. I’ll come like a geyser. Not pretty.”
“I don’t know. I think that might be pretty amazing.” She stared into his eyes while she unbuttoned his jeans, amazed at her own sexual aggression. It felt so good to take whatshewanted for once.
He swallowed. “You sure? Because I am so fucking hard right now.”
“Shy? No problem.” She smiled and slid her hand under his underwear to grip him.
He swore and rocked into her fist, throwing his head back. “Oh shit. Kenzie, honey, I won’t last long.”
“Good.” She pumped him, fixated on his strong throat and his growled warning to slow down. “Do you really want me to let you go?” she asked, loving the softness of his skin covering that hot, hard shaft. He hadn’t been exaggerating. The man was hung.
“Fuck no.I mean, no.” He looked down at her, his eyes crazed. “Kenzie, I’m so close…”
“Wouldn’t it be so much better inside me?” She nibbled her lip, wanting another kiss. “Or in my mouth?”
As if he’d read her mind, he took her face between his palms and kissed her, groaning when she squeezed him tighter and he climaxed, spilling over her hand.
Evan hadn’t been lying about coming hard. He soaked his underwear, and the scent of his passion only added to his heady cologne that made her a little crazed herself.
As he calmed down, kissing and thanking her, half his words impossible to understand, she felt like she’d accomplished the impossible.
“Oh my God.” Evan pulled back, holding her with gentle hands. “Kenzie, I… I feel dizzy. All the blood just rushed from my head to my cock. Hell. I am so damn out of my head.”
“Now you know how I feel.” She kissed him once more then pulled away to clean up. She returned to find him buttoned up and slumped on his couch, staring at a blank wall.
“I can’t move.” He blinked up at her, his slow smile warm. “Kenzie. Just…thanks.” He groaned and got to his feet. “Now you have to go.”
The abrupt change from welcoming to dismissive threw her. “What?”
He walked her to the front door. “You wait right here.” He left only to return with a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates he handed her.
She stared at the gifts, trying to remember the last time she’d received flowers. And chocolates? The gesture had her blinking back tears. Such a small thing to make her feel so emotional.
“These are for you.” He kissed her cheek, sighed, then kissed her lips. “You need to go before I forget myself and try talking you into bed. Don’t even act like you’ll resist this—us—whatever we have here. I tried, and I failed.”
“Oh, well.” She flushed. “I wasn’t much better.”
“I know. You’re weak, like me.” He chuckled. “All I wanted was for you to feel special.”
She stared at his gifts then at the man who’d played her body like he owned it. “You did make me feel special.”
“Yes, but today wasn’t supposed to be about me.”
“It wasn’t,” she tried to assure him.
“Sorry, but I’m pretty sure my clothes are still sticking to me because you blew my head clean off.”
She chuckled. “Stop. I’m trying to say I enjoyed everything we did today.” Surprised to realize it was true, she couldn’t help being glad she’d done everything she wanted. Well, almost. Making love to Evan would be spectacular. But the closeness that might create unnerved her. “I loved everything about today, Evan.” She clutched the colorful bouquet in her hand. “So thank you.”
“If you’re sure.” He studied her, then, seeming satisfied, hugged her. “God, you feel good.” He sniffed her hair. “Smell good too.” He seemed reluctant when he stepped back.
He no doubt spent a fortune for that rich scent he wore. Kenzie used an herbal shampoo for six bucks a bottle. That’s me. Sophisticated Target shopper.“I didn’t come over here for this. But I had a feeling it might happen,” she admitted. “You’re right. We do click in that way.”
“Do we ever.” He ran a hand through his hair. “I didn’t mean for this to happen either. I mean, I’ve fantasized about it since I first saw you, but I didn’t want to rush you.”
And he hadn’t. “No one made me do anything.”
