Peyton rounded on her. “Don’t be so ridiculous. Of course it isn’t. How many times do I have to tell you that what happenedwasn’t your fault?”
Her sister was the only one who knew the truth of that night, but she’d never thought Piper was to blame. Over the last couple of years she’d sometimes wondered if her sister was right, but she’d never quite managed to convince herself.
“I don’t even know if he’s seeing other girls.” He could be. They’d never talked about going exclusive. She’d just kind of assumed it although she wasn’t sure why. Then again, she’d never hooked up like that before Mason.
Does he still see the girl who broke his heart?
Peyton frowned. “You definitely need to know if he’s screwing around. And if he is what’re you going to do? Suck it up or break loose?”
I don’t want to lose him.But if she was only one out of a dozen others he was shagging then she didn’t have him anyway.
She’d call him tomorrow, before he had the chance to contact her, and arrange a date night. One that didn’t get derailed by sex, leaving everything unsaid.
She wasn’t exactly looking forward to it.
