“I guess not,” she replied. “And I’m not freaking out.”
“No, you’re not,” Dana said, shaking her head. “You’re definitelynotworried about us being seen laughing all over set together, how we probably look like we have major chemistry when we shoot those kissing scenes, and how tonight, it’ll show up even more now that we’ve actually touched each other.”
“You’re making fun of me,” Samara said.
“A little.” Dana winked at her. “Just tell me what you want, and it’s yours, okay? We’ll take this at your speed.”
“I’ll call Miles and cancel lunch.”
Dana smiled down at her.
“And we’ll shower and eat,” Samara continued. “But I’m going to have the car take me to set. It’s only because we still need to be somewhat professional at work, and I reallydon’tsleep with co-stars, so this is all new to me.”
“Does this mean we can’t have sex in your fancy trailer?” Dana asked with a lifted eyebrow.
Samara laughed and pulled her in for another kiss.
CHAPTER 27
“Hi,” Dana said.
“Oh, hi,” she replied, instantly blushing.
Why was Samara blushing? Dana had had her hands and mouth all over her body no less than two hours ago, and now they were here, on set, about to film their first love scene together.
“So, we’re ready,” Dana said.
Reed looked up from her chair and said, “Great. Let’s get moving, then. I’m hoping we can get the bulk of this shot tonight, and we’ll finish up tomorrow. I’ve cleared the set of all non-essentials, and obviously, we won’t do anything you’re uncomfortable with.”
“Okay,” Dana said for both of them.
“We’re going to start with the opening. Then, we’ll get on the bed and just take it from there. Intimacy coordinator is here to help, too. Whatever you need, ladies, okay?”
Samara nodded over at their on-set intimacy coordinator, whom they’d only briefly worked with because she had just gotten into town for the day, but that was still better than some films Samara had worked on where they hadn’t had an intimacy coordinator at all.
“You’re very quiet,” Dana began with Bray’s line when they walked through the door of the hotel room.
“I am?”
“Stella, if you don’t want to do this tonight, we don’t have to. We can just hold each other.”
“It’s not a question of want. Trust me,” she said as Stella.
“Okay. Well, whatisit, if it’s not that?”
Bray closed the door behind them.
“I… didn’t have time toprepare. We’ve basically been together since you got here, so I haven’t showered since this morning, and I ate garlicandonions at dinner like a moronwho wasn’t planning on making love with you for the first time, so I–”
Bray laughed, pulled Stella into her, turned her around to the wall, and backed her against it.
“I don’t care. I haven’t had time toprepare, either. Stella, I just wantyou. I don’t want some ideal version of you where you have perfect breath and smooth legs. I don’t need you to wear makeup when you don’t normally do that. You clearly don’t need it. And I don’t need fancy lingerie, either. I just need you.”
Bray ran her hand through Stella’s hair.
“How are you so good at this?” Stella asked, smiling.
“At what?”
