He withdrew and lovingly kissed my lips, cheek and forehead before pushing back in with force, pulling another moan from me from the sudden deep push. He quickened the pace, and I closed my eyes, treasuring the feel of him inside me, tight and nerve-igniting. In no time, I came in another body-shaking orgasm.

But he wasn’t done. He withdrew from me, and I didn’t care for the heat of him going away. However, he then moved behind me, gently maneuvering me to my side. He glided into me with no effort, I was still so wet, and from this angle, he was hitting my sensitive spot directly. I wiggled, pushing back against him in anticipation of another oncoming climax. I didn’t want slow. Not in this haze of heat. My body only wanted pleasure. Only wanted orgasms.

But he felt so good I could have gone cross-eyed. Maybe I did because I certainly wasn’t seeing clearly. Everything was a blur, and I closed my eyes again to hear the wet slapping sounds of our bodies pounding together. It was such a turn-on.

“I don’t think I can hold back much longer,” Daniel grunted in my ear.

I reached back and dug my fingers into his thigh. “Don’t hold back,” I said in a low voice.

That was all he seemed to need because he pumped into me faster, forcing me to have to move my hand and grip the edge of the bed to steady myself. His cock pressing against my inner spot drew yet another climax from me, and yet another wave of release crashed over me.

Daniel came right after, pushing his knot almost into me, but stopping just before. I wasn’t sure I wanted him to stop himself. After seeing the knot enough times with Kai and noticing how my body reacted, I was becoming curious. Soon I would be ready to experience it all.

CHAPTER21

BILLIE

The next morning, I woke up feeling pleased as punch. The large bed, now my temporary nest, was full of mix-matched pillows and sheets that smelled like all of us. Even after I used my magic to clean the sheets, the essence was still there. I pushed my head into the pillow and took a deep inhale and smelled Kai’s scent mixed with Ty’s, who had not come to my bed yet.

I turned to my other side to see Daniel still sound asleep on his back and caught a trace of Lance’s scent on one of the pillows. I sat up, naked this time, and ran my fingers through his long white hair. My mind was clear for the first time in almost two days. I was looking at Daniel’s naked body beside me and wasn’t instantly getting wet and jumping on top of him, which I may have done the other night at some point. Don’t get me wrong, I was still turned on, but I had control, and I was coherent. Had the heat left me? Part of me was a little disappointed that I hadn’t gotten to Ty or seen Lance come around, but another part felt a tad bit relieved.

I was myself again. I no longer had that out-of-body high feeling. It was fun but also scary, and the pain before it felt worse than menstruation cramps. I was very thankful this heat thing only came on once a season.

Daniel opened his eyes and stretched, looking just as content as me. “How you feeling, princess?”

“Rejuvenated. But I think I’m out of the heat now.”

He gave a pout. “Well, that’s no fun. I know our Ty won’t like that.”

I nodded. “I know. I feel like I should apologize to him.”

Daniel bit his lip with a shake of his head. “Don’t be silly. You owe none of us your body.”

I knew that, but I also knew how close Ty and I had gotten. I liked being near him. Touching him. I would have regrets on that one.

I sighed, looking at the clock. It was still early, and it was a work day. “I guess I should go to work. Between the staffing shortage and some patients that really need me, I can’t be out.”

Daniel scrunched his face disapprovingly. “I don’t like it. The attacks are getting too close in time. I’m sure whoever is behind this knows where you work.”

“I refuse to be in hiding. We just have to be more vigilant. People need me at the hospital.”

“I get it. You don’t want this to rule your life. They haven’t attacked the hospital yet, but it doesn’t mean they won’t, so we have to up security beyond just us. But honestly, I’m not sure you’re out of your heat. Your scent is still strong.” He slid upwards in one graceful movement, bending a knee which unfortunately covered his very nice member.

I shrugged. “I feel back to normal.”

He gave me a skeptical look, lips pressed tightly. “You really love your job. If you insist, then Ty will go with you to work. I’m sure he’d like that.”

I swung my legs to the side of the bed. I’d like that too. I hadn’t seen Ty in a couple of days, and I missed him.

Daniel’s eyes darkened, and he brushed his long hair back from his face. “Before you go, I have to tell you something. I didn’t want to upset you yesterday. But if you think you’re out of your heat, then I’d rather not delay it.”

I turned back toward Daniel. What could possibly be more upsetting than a dead father and being stalked by demons? “Is something wrong with Lila?”

He shook his head quickly. “No. Your apartment was broken into and ransacked. We’re cleaning it up, so you don’t have to worry about anything there. It stunk of demons. That’s really how your e-reader broke.”

I rubbed at my eyes, irritated. When would this end? Maybe if I let someone in the pack claim me, whoever was behind this would leave me alone. Then again, I couldn’t imagine a person who hired demons to kidnap me would even respect the practice of not touching a claimed omega. This was beyond dangerous if they had elevated to tearing up my place. “They’re getting desperate. Demons could hurt Lila at her home or bakery to get to me. Maybe we should have her move in here, too. I don’t want them using her as leverage.”

Daniel tapped his knee with his knuckles. “Good idea. We can put her in the guest room. As for work, we already put them on notice. We increased protective warding and alerted the authorities about everything.”
