Begged me for more.

Told me not to stop.

Keeping my gaze on her, I watched her intently, loving how she said my name as she came. For me. Her legs shook so fiercely that I held her down until the last of her spasms ceased, spent from the orgasm.

“Damn, baby.” I lifted my head to look at her. “You taste even better than I remember.”

Turning a shade of red, she sat up and shoved the loose strands of hair off my forehead. “You’re the first and only man I let do that.”

I sat up between her spread thighs, one eyebrow raised. “Really? You didn’t hook up in college?”

She shook her head. “I couldn’t get a certain someone out of my head to move on. No matter how hard I tried.”

Her confession took me by surprise. We never discussed our love lives. That topic always seemed off-limits, given our feelings for each other. As a general rule, I never brought women home out of respect for Olivia. Besides, none were worth the headache.

From day one, Olivia was it for me. She was still the prettiest girl I had ever met, even the day I brought her home, dirty and untamed. I saw right past what was on the surface.

I slid my hand under her chin and pulled her attention back to me. “I want you, Liv. But not like this. Not in my office with Tate two floors below us. He could come up here at any moment.”

“I’m sick of waiting for my brother to change his mind. You’re the best man I know. Most guys would kill to have their sister date someone like you. I don’t understand the issue.”

I wanted to tell her everything. The words stung my tongue, but I forced them back.

“In my line of work, I can’t afford attachments. You know what we do here, right?”

She nodded. “You sell weapons and artificial intelligence.”

“It’s not just my business. What I do for The Devil’s Knights is dangerous. Most of it is illegal. We work with criminals and have a lot of enemies. That’s why Tate is so protective of you.”

“Yeah, I know.”

“No, you don’t know everything. All of my friends have had attempts on their wives’ lives. Alex Salvatore was kidnapped and listed for auction on the Dark Web. I don’t want that to happen to you. Neither does Tate.”

She put her hand on top of mine and squeezed. “You and Tate will keep me safe. I’m not worried.”

Olivia leaped onto my lap and started pawing at my clothes, her tongue sliding into my mouth. Every inch of my skin burned for her. But my brain was saying,Not like this. She deserves better. I’d already told her as much and intended to keep my promise.

Thankfully, I didn’t have to tell her no again because someone knocked on the door, interrupting us.

Olivia looked at me, her lips wet with saliva. “Oh, shit. That’s probably my brother.”

“Hold that thought.”

I hopped off the couch, and to my great surprise and relief, Tate wasn’t standing on the other side of my office door.

Thank fuck for that.

I wasn’t sure how to explain why Olivia’s hair and clothing were a mess. Or why we were both still panting, and the room smelled of sex.

I popped my head into the hallway. My cousin Cole waited with his hands stuffed into his pockets. Apart from my security team and a few chosen people, he was one of the few with clearance to access this floor.

“Hey, I didn’t hear the elevator ding.” I ran a hand through my dark, messy hair to sweep it off my forehead. “I was a little busy.”

Cole smirked as he entered my office. “Yeah, I can see that.”

I tugged on my silk tie and winked.

This level wasn’t on any of the floor plans. I didn’t have a receptionist or other support staff on this floor. Only my office and the lab where I kept the artificial intelligence software.
