Opposites don’t just attract—they go viral.

Sienna Vance, host of the wildly popular queer advice podcast Dating by Design, treats love like a risk-assessed algorithm. Her life is color-coded, her heart is bulletproof, and her dating advice is backed by cold, hard data.

Robin Croft, host of rival show Meet-Cute, is the exact opposite: an unfiltered chaotic who relies on wild impulse, electric banter, and telling queer women to throw out the rulebook and trust their gut.
When an explosive screaming match between the two hosts at a live panel goes viral, their network hands down an ultimatum: collaborate or get cancelled. The solution? Head vs Heart—a joint podcast where Sienna and Robin go on a series of setup dates to prove whose dating philosophy actually works.

Nobody’s exactly thrilled about it. But Sienna and Robin have no choice.

Off-air, they can barely exist in the same room without spark-flying arguments. On-air, their fiery, crackling chemistry sends ratings through the roof. But as the dates/rivalry plays out for thousands of listeners, forced proximity starts blurring the lines between performance and reality. Spending forced date after forced date together begins to dismantle Sienna’s carefully crafted defences—while cracking straight through Robin’s sunshiny, quick-witted armour into a slow-burn longing neither saw coming.

When the ultimate battle of logic versus emotion gets dangerously personal, both women are forced to face the one truth their algorithms and gut instincts missed: when it comes to the heart, neither of them knows what the hell they’re doing.

Hot Mic is a fiery, witty, and emotional sapphic rom-com packed with rival-to-lovers tension, forced proximity, and the terrifying magic of letting someone truly see you.
