And that’s not all he’ll do for his mate…

When you open a pie shop in a town that is real big on Halloween, you expect the occasional ghost story as October hits. Maybe even a cranky witch or two—and let’s not even get started about the rumors that we have a pair of vigilante serial killers who rule Shadowvale behind the scenes… and maybe I believe the rumors about the town I’ve lived in this past year and a half. Maybe I don’t.

But what you don’t expect because it sounds simply impossible?

A naked man in your kitchen, chowing down on the cherry pie that earned you second place at the Harvest Pie Bake-Off earlier that day, claiming to be your recently rescued—and former stray—cat in human form.

Mr. Whiskers—sorry, Vincent—insists he’s a cursed warlock doomed to spend eternity as a feline until his fated mate breaks the spell on him. And, apparently, that fated mate is me.

Now I’ve got one day—before midnight on Halloween—to figure out if magic is really real, if my new houseguest is a nut job and/or a liar, and if I’m about to fall for a man who once left a dead mouse on my pillow. Not to mention that I’m doing my best to avoid my baking nemesis, Cindy Hargrove, and figure out if Mr. Whiskers played fling with my missing recipe book.

Welcome to Shadowvale—where the pies are sweet, the men are both too gorgeous and arrogant for their own good, and love might just be the most powerful magic of all…

** Will Curse for Milk is a standalone paranormal romcom novella set in the fictional town of Shadowvale (the same as My Broken Monster by Sarah Spade, and Close to Midnight, Really Should Stay, and Tonight You’re Mine, all by Carin Hart). It features magic, heart, humor, some heat, and a guaranteed HEA for Vincent and Kate!
