I finally made it—signed to play goalie for the Tampa Bay Blaze.

But fate has a twisted sense of humor, because the team’s owner is none other than August Cromwell—my ex. The same August who left me behind without a second glance when his father disapproved of our relationship. I swore I’d never forgive him, and I’ve made it my mission to remind him of that every chance I get; consequences be damned.
