Cedar Brook Falls is my home and sanctuary. For baseball star Casey Tucker, it’s a cage.

I’ve built a life out of friendships, yoga, and the deep-rooted peace of this town. I believe in community, in slow mornings, and in the beauty of belonging somewhere. Casey believes in one thing: baseball. For him, Cedar Brook Falls is just the dust he shook off his cleats on the way to the big leagues. He never intended to look back.

But when a family emergency forces him off the field and back into town, our paths collide. I start to see the man behind the jersey. The sparks between us are undeniable, but Casey’s life is in the bright lights of the stadium, and mine is intertwined in the roots of Cedar Brook Falls. I can’t ask him to give up baseball, and I won’t leave my friends and the new life I’ve built behind. It seems one of us will lose everything they’ve dreamt of unless we can find another way.
