When Gemma Murray agrees to look after her friend Hannah’s dog, she expects muddy walks, early mornings and, perhaps a little chaos. What she doesn’t expect is to find her new boss, Jonathan Higgs, appearing on her doorstep in the middle of night with a complaint and a determined glare.
After discovering Jonathan is her new neighbour, Gemma can’t seem to do anything right, at the school where she works or at home. But when she uncovers the truth that Woodland Primary is in serious financial trouble, she refuses to stand by and watch it fail.
Working together to save the school means late nights, difficult decisions… and seeing a very different side of the supposedly grumpy headteacher.
