Firefighter Titan Shephard had dealt with his share of loss over the years. First, his mother and now his best friend. When his chief suggests he take some time off to cope with Matt’s death, he knows it’s the only way he’s ever going to come to terms with what happened. So he heads to the mountains, the one place that’s always brought him peace.
When he discovers Matt’s sister is staying at the cabin, he’d rather go back home than deal with her. It’s bad enough that he blames himself for the accident. He doesn’t need her making it any worse.

Felicia Dupree needed an escape to deal with the sudden death of her brother. Just when she thought life was good, Matt’s death left her an emotional wreck. When she slips away to her family’s cabin up in Misty Ridge, she’s hopeful that the mountains will give her some sort of comfort.
When Titan shows up unexpectedly, she wants him to leave. There’s no way the two of them can stay in the same cabin. But when she sees how much he’s hurting, she soon realizes that grieving together could help them both.
