When a Rivani woman faces a series of misfortunes on the road, she takes shelter in a crumbling fortress where old magic slumbers. When she discovers roses, long believed to be extinct, she makes a fateful decision that brings her face to face with the Fir’Darl, the most terrifying of the Rivan gods.
