RIX
My life was cruising along smoothly.
I was the Enforcer for the Cosmic Crows MC.
I had my bike, my brothers, and our club.
There was nothing else I needed — or so I thought.
Then there she was.
The pain in her eyes called to me, and I vowed that she’d never feel another moment of pain.
She didn’t believe me, and I knew I’d have to build her trust.
She was everything I didn’t know I needed.
She was my home.

VAL
I was a slave — born a slave — and I’d expected to die a slave.
Until a feisty human saved us, and I went from slave to free.
For the first time I could live my life like I saw fit — taking care of the females that had taken me to their hearts and made me a sister.
I’d never imagined that I’d ever find a mate. It wasn’t something a slave dreamed of.
And then there he was, promising me things he had no right to promise.
I wanted to believe him — I truly did — but the life I’d lived didn’t allow for hope.
At least, it hadn’t.
He was everything he promised he’d be.
He was my forever.
