Pregnancy Pains & Mystic Chains

Whoever said “pregnancy is magical” clearly never had to deal with actual magic while pregnant. Trust me, trying to cast spells when your center of gravity has its own zip code is no picnic. But here I am, attempting to save Maine from supernatural disaster while growing three tiny demigods.

Just as I was getting used to my new life of pickle-flavored ice cream and floating prenatal yoga (literally), my nemesis Lyra decides it’s the perfect time to unleash chaos. Now I’m stuck on doctor-ordered bedrest, which is as useful as an umbrella in a hurricane when you’re a witch with a penchant for trouble.
While my divine baby daddy Aidon and our ragtag magical crew are trying to stop Lyra’s latest scheme, I’m left battling heartburn and trying not to turn my well-meaning visitors into toads. (Hormone-induced magic is real, folks, and it’s not pretty.)
But when Lyra manages to lure me out with promises of peanut butter-dipped jalapenos and vengeance, I realize this isn’t just about my swollen ankles anymore. With more problems emerging and magic surging, I’m in a race against time, contractions, and cosmic forces I barely understand.
