Fated to the Gargoyle

My long-lost grandmother left me a letter with major revelations:
I have a twin sister
We come from a family of witches
Gargoyles are real and to trust them
Still, reading a note is different than seeing a gray creature with a massive wingspan flying down at me. Instinct kicks in and I run.

When it comes to fight or flight, I choose flight every time. I might as well have wings like these supernatural beings. I ran from a dark sorcerer trying to exploit me, and I ran from demons who want to claim our family’s grimoire. Now that they were defeated, I thought it was safe to return and introduce myself to my sister.
But this gargoyle–who’s not just any gargoyle, but a commander leading a team of them in Montreal–wants us to come with him. The demons might be back, and my sister and me could be targeted–again.
Should I trust this gargoyle? Or stick with what’s kept me alive so far–run?
