My boss makes “tall, dark, and mysterious” sound like it’s beneath him, but I feel like I can trust him. We’ve had no reason to discuss our personal lives until I ended up hiding under his desk to avoid being payment for my ex’s debts. I don’t want anything from him, but I can’t refuse his offer to help me since my ex set me up. I’d rather be protected by Theodore “Trunk” Kelly than be dead, even if being around him complicates our lives with a completely different kind of danger.
