I glanced up and breathed a sigh of relief.

Angelo ran his knuckles across his jaw, stripping me bare with his eyes. "Anyone else hard as fuck right now?"

Stefan, Nico, and Dante stood at his side. A large group of men in suits were behind them. The Luciano brothers made guttural sounds in answer to Angelo's question.

They stared at me with equal parts desire and fascination. Dante looked like he was going to devour me. Although I could see that he was in pain, clutching his side for comfort. He would never voice his concern aloud.

Nico stepped out from the group and shrugged off his jacket, holding it out for me. "Vieni, passerrota. No one is going to hurt you."

I slid off the dead man, the gun still in my hand. "Took you long enough to find me."

A frown pulled at Nico's mouth. "We haven't stopped looking for you since Vinnie took you." He put his jacket over my shoulders and pulled it closed. "We don't have long before we have to shoot our way out of here."

"I killed him," I choked out.

He glanced at the man and smiled. "Impressive. Tommy Bones was one of Johnny Z's top hitmen." He took the gun from my hand and glanced at it. "You could've saved yourself a lot of trouble if you turned off the safety."

I nearly collapsed from exhaustion, and he lifted me off the floor. "Is that why it didn't work?"

Nico nodded. "Remind me to show you how to shoot when we get home." He stroked my hair with his fingers and hugged me. "I got you, passerrota." He kissed my forehead and whispered, "It's going to be okay." His eyes dropped to my lack of clothing, and he shook his head. "Did they hurt you?"

"No. But they drugged me a few times."

He brushed the pad of his thumb over my bottom lip and bent down to kiss my forehead.

"Enough, lover boy," Dante said from behind us. "Let's go before you get me shot. Again."

We ran from the mansion before the auction ended. Gunshots fired behind us as we left the property, just missing us. The five of us piled into the back of a van driven by Tony. It was dark outside, but I could see the Luciano brothers’ faces with the moonlight entering through the back window.

Dante’s cell phone beeped with a new message. “They got Johnny Z and Vinnie.”

“What about Paulie?” I asked.

Dante grinned like a psychopath. “We’re saving him for last.”

“What if he runs when he finds out you have Johnny and Vinnie? One of them will rat him out.”

“We stick to the plan,” Dante said in a firm tone. “After my father’s funeral, Paulie is a dead man. Not a second sooner.”

Since Dante was always in charge, I bobbed my head. He’d been planing his revenge all week in the hospital. And after those assholes kidnapped me, I bet he wanted to get even more than before.

Nico moved me between his spread thighs and ran his hands up and down my skin. It felt so fucking good I moaned. Dante sat across from us, staring between my legs like he had X-ray vision. I could feel the heat of his gaze on every inch of my body. My skin sizzled from the fire brewing inside me.

I was a different person.

A murderer.

Killing that man was the final straw. I felt the darkness clawing at my heart, draining all of the good from my soul. Maybe I was always supposed to be with made men. From the start, I couldn’t stay away from them.

Now, I never wanted to leave.

The Boardwalk Kings were mine.

I leaned back on Nico’s chest and spread my legs for Dante. Stefan sat on Dante’s right, also staring at me. Angelo was on his left, glaring at me like an animal ready to attack.
