Without another word, she turns and heads out of the building, leaving me standing in the doorway, a bundle of anger and regret.

I inhale deeply and let it out, calming my anger and nerves. I follow her out of the building, watching her as she turns to the left and heads down Sorority Row while I turn right and head toward the faculty parking lot.

When I hit the unlock button, my car beeps. Before I get the door open, I smack the roof of the car with my hand. My skin stings, but I barely feel the pain.

“I need a distraction.”

I pull my cell phone out of my pocket and dial a familiar number. I don’t even allow her to say hello before the words come out of my mouth.

“Meet me at the French restaurant you like on Fourteenth at seven. If you’re a good little girl, I might even let you play with Daddy’s cock after dinner.”

Without another word, I hang up and stuff my cell back into my pocket.
