He trails off but I don’t push. I know he means after his wife died.
“It’s lovely.”
Rain rattles against the windows. For the first time all day, I don’t mind the sound. We’re all inside.
I shrug off Marcus’s coat, hanging it carefully on a nearby coat rack.
Marcus stands in the foyer, dripping wet.
“Cole has no manners but I do. Can I borrow some clothes?”
Gabe nods. “Of course. They’ll be a bit small on you, but…”
Marcus shrugs. “Close enough.”
“Me, too,” Cole says, and I bite my lip, wondering if they’ll change in front of me.
They don’t, to my dismay. They change in the bathroom, taking turns. Gabe’s t-shirt and sweats fit Cole well, but Marcus not so much.
The black t-shirt stretches across his chest and biceps, the sweats tight on his thighs, showing a bulge that I can’t take my eyes off of.
Cole groans. “No fair. Marcus looks like a fucking bodybuilder in your clothes.”
Gabe snorts. “Can’t be helped.”
Marcus looks up at me with a slight smirk on his face.
“What about you, angel? Want to change into something comfortable?”
I didn’t get soaked like they did, but my clothes aren’t exactly cozy.
“Sure,” I murmur, and when Gabe returns from his room with a pair of sweats and a tank top, I hold them for a long moment, looking at the three men.
“What’s wrong, princess?” Cole speaks up first.
“What if I don’t want to wear clothes at all?”
Gabe draws in a sharp breath and Marcus takes a step forward.
Cole grins. “I don’t think any of us are going to object to that.”
But Gabe looks away when I peel off my dress, dropping it to the floor. I stand there in a black bra and thong and my thigh-high socks.
“Fucking hell,” Cole curses.
I flush, a little concerned about my curves. I’m soft everywhere, and not all guys like that, but…
Marcus takes another step forward, reaching out to slide his finger under the hem of my socks, high up on my thigh.
My heart starts to pound.
The storm rages outside, wind whistling, the rain and hail clattering on the roof, but I don’t care.
Marcus hums, snapping the hem of the sock so that I jolt, the sting making pleasure and anticipation rocket through me.
Gabe still isn’t looking at me so I walk toward him.
“Margo,” he whispers when I get close.
