“No refunds.” I laugh softly.

“No refunds,” he agrees, laughing low and warm, before gently drawing me to my feet and leading me to his room.

Chapter 42

Bri

Ispend the entire drive to the convention trying not to smile like an idiot. It’s not working.

“So…” Saint says from the passenger seat, drawing the word out far longer than necessary.

“Oh no.”

“Oh yes.”

My grip tightens on the steering wheel. “We are not talking about this.”

“Oh darling.” He laughs. “We absolutely are talking about this.”

I groan. The man has known me for approximately five minutes and somehow has mastered the art of sibling-level teasing.

“You had sex with him, didn’t you?” The tips of my ears go warm. Saint gasps dramatically, “Oh you absolutely did!”

“What look?”

“The one people get when they’re absolutely gone.”

I roll my eyes. “I am not gone.”

“Brianna Wildblood, you offend me with this deception,” he sighs dramatically.

“Ok, maybe a little.”

“A little?”

I smile helplessly. “I might have fallen for him. Are you happy now?”

He reaches over and pats my shoulder, “I’m happy for you.” The words settle warmly in my chest. “So…”

“Nope. Don’t go there…”

“Was it good? Life altering…”
