If You Dare

“Sweetest ass ever.” He gave her a smooching kiss before pulling away from her to ask, “Do you know how long I’ve wanted you, Lil?”

He’d…wanted her? Now her heart raced for a different reason. Since she’d shot down his advances early on, he’d relegated her to the role of his nemesis. Or maybe she’d relegated him to the role of hers.

“You want me?” she breathed.

“Are you kidding?” He squeezed her ass again. He sucked in air through his teeth, a growl rumbling in his throat. “You think this setup works for me? That I’d choose here, of all places, to seduce you?”

The word “seduce” intrigued her more than it should. Being seduced by Marcus, who was capable of epic seduction, was… Well, it was awesome was what it was. She relaxed against him, parts of her throbbing in time with her heartbeat.

“Have you thought about seducing me, Marcus?” She nibbled on his chin.

One of his hands left the globe of her bottom to slide between her legs. Even over her panties, the swipe of his strong fingers made her wetter.

“Only every night after work.” He licked the underside of her top lip and pulled it into his mouth. His fingers moved against her, and she squirmed. “Some nights I have to take matters into my own hands.” He bit down lightly on her lip, and she felt her bones melt.

“You—you think of me…like that?”

“God, yes.”

And hadn’t she done the same, holding the vision of him standing behind her at the pool table while she’d used her vibrator? She loved the idea of them pleasuring themselves at the same time—each orgasming with the other’s name on their lips…

She wanted him now. But she always had, hadn’t she? In the bright light of day, she could pretend there was nothing more to her than the driven, no-nonsense professional she showed to the world. She could pretend she didn’t want him, didn’t need him. Act as if he would never fit in her meticulously organized life.

In truth, she admired nearly everything about him. The strong line of his back and broad shoulders, yes, but also his ability to take on a project with zero fear. But even if she had been willing to break her rule and date her coworker, she’d known she wasn’t his type.

She wasn’t blond enough, wasn’t curvy enough. She just plain wasn’t enough. And she hadn’t been willing to sleep with him on the first date. Except…this kind of qualified as a date. And she was willing to sleep with him right now.

Five minutes ago, technically.

“I know you have rules.” He brushed his nose over hers. “Care to bend them? Take me for a test drive, McIntire. You won’t be sorry.”

“Here?” she asked, which was so not the issue.

“Here. Now.” She imagined a taunting glint in his dark eyes, the wicked twist of his contagious smile.

“Say yes,” he said as he stroked her center again.

She thought she hated this cocksure side of him. But this was doing it for her. He kissed her again, his tongue swirling in her mouth. She fisted his shirt and dragged it over his head. Then dropped an open-mouthed kiss on his chest.

He tasted as good as she’d imagined. As he shifted beneath her, a low groan worked its way from his throat. She loved the contrast of his hardness and her softness, the tickle of his chest hair on her tongue.

He pulled her hoodie and T-shirt over her head, balled up both, and dropped them on the mattress. Her bra was the next to go. He had it unhooked and was pulling it down her arms before she knew it.

Holding onto her, he gently rolled over so he was on top. Her nipples beaded in the air as he shoved a pillow under her head. He’d even taken a moment to lift her long hair out of the way first.

“Comfortable?” he murmured against her skin as he began kissing his way to her chest.

“Very,” she breathed.

She fed her fingers into his hair, her hips tipping toward his when he placed a soft kiss between her breasts. His tongue circled her nipple, and she gasped, delighted as an electric current shot straight to her center. That…might have been the best sensation in the entire world. He pulled away with a pop and then moved to her other breast, taking his time to trace her areola.

Her body tingled. Her head swam. Had anyone ever turned her on this much with his mouth? Had anyone ever tried? “Marcus, God.”

She felt his smile against her breast. Cool air covered her skin as he inhaled. Then he was climbing her body, the air mattress shifting with him. When he reached her mouth, he kissed her. She lifted her hips to bump his erection. She was wet and warm, and so close to begging for it she should be ashamed of herself. But she wasn’t ashamed.

She was ready and willing.

“What do you say, McIntire?” His voice was an intoxicating rasp in the dark room—an anchor in a sea of black.
