“What did I say, Jodie?”
“Slow.”
“That’s right. And you’ll listen to me.”
If she hadn’t been soaked before, that did it.
Mac pushed up off the bed and shed his socks, pants, and boxer briefs. Her gaze traveled down his body, slowly, to his swollen cock and stayed there.
“Oh, come on,” she said faintly. “I thought the eight-pack was showing off enough.”
Mac chuckled while at the same time, he felt himself turning red from his chest to the tips of his ears.
She reached out and wrapped her hand around him. Mac’s breath hissed out between his teeth.
“Jodie.”
She stroked him once, slow and thorough, looking entirely too pleased with herself.
Outstanding work, MacAllister. Thirty-six years old and about to go off like a teenager.
Then she started stroking him in earnest, her thumb grazing over the top of his cock every time she reached his tip. He watched her face, enraptured. He couldn’t believe he was here.
When she bent forward and tried to take him in her mouth, Mac leaned back.
“Do that, baby, and I’ll lose it. Move back onto the bed.” He lifted his chin toward the pillows. Mac watched Jodie’s eyes widen and dilate, but the woman who always had everything under control didn’t argue or hesitate. She took off her shoes, which were all she had on at this point, and damn that was sexy, scooted back, and pulled down the covers.
She’s liking this, giving up control for once.
Mac grabbed the condom off the bed. He rolled it on and came back to her. When he settled between her thighs, Jodie put one hand flat against his chest and stopped him.
“What?” he asked.
“You.”
She said it exactly the way he had, standing in her bedroom doorway ten minutes ago.
Mac had been quietly longing for her since his first day at Watchdog. She had a smile for him every morning, just like she’d had for everybody. It didn’t matter if she was in the middle of paperwork, or calming a scared client, or suffering some pile of bullshit Kyle or any of the other guys gave her, Jodie smiled at everyone. And then she went on to her next task, and the one after that, and Mac went on with his day.
Now she was looking at him as if every other thing in her world could wait.
“Jodie.” His voice came out low and rough. His fingers traced the ridge of her collarbone.
She slid her hand around the back of his neck and pulled him down to her mouth. Then she reached between them and guided him to her.
Mac pushed into her by inches. Her breath caught, and her nails pressed into his shoulders. He stopped with his forehead against hers, because if he moved one more fraction right then, this was going to be a very short night. And she deserved better than that.
He opened his eyes. Jodie was watching him with her lips parted. Mac dipped his head to the curve of her throat and kissed her, hard. She moaned, and he felt it all the way through her, and suddenly he couldn’t remember why he’d been nervous about any of this.
He started to move. Slowly, the way he’d promised. Long, deep strokes, learning her, paying attention to every sound. She liked it when he pulled almost all the way out. She really liked it when he took his time coming back. Jodie lifted her hips up to meet him, impatient, but Mac held his pace.
“Mac.” She dug her heel into the back of his thigh. “I swear to God.”
“Patience.”
“I’m fresh out.”
Mac rolled them both until he landed on his back and blinked up at Jodie straddling him with her hair falling around her face and a triumphant grin.
